This cozy two-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage is in a wooded setting with private frontage on the Crystal River across the road. The home sleeps up to five people. If you are visiting in the fall or winter curl up with a good book and a glass of wine in front of the fireplace. It’s so cozy you won’t want to leave.

The deck outside offers quiet dining and relaxing with a wooded view. You can cook your meal on the provided grill and spend time around the fire pit in the evenings. Enjoy the Crystal River across the street with the provided canoe or kick back in the Adirondack chairs on the river.

Glen Arbor is located just .2 miles from the house. A grocery store, gift shops, and restaurants are just a few of the things that make your visit easy. The Sleeping Bear Dunes Dune Climb, Glen Haven, and Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive are all a quick drive from the house.

Your well-mannered pets are welcome. Maximum of two.

Most perfect cabin

Absolutely loved our stay! Perfect walking distance from downtown glen arbor but just far enough outside to be secluded. Crystal River was gorgeous and so clean. Cabin was clean and lots of space. Cant wait to stay again!

Good location for Glen Arbor Fun

We went up for a 4 day winter experience. We love hiking the Sleeping Bear dunes and snowshoeing and this location is very convenient. It is a cute cabin. The main bed was a little uncomfortable and could use better support I think. Fireplace was a great experience.

Great location, but could use some TLC

Our stay was fine and location is great. Cabin overall could use updating and repairs. It wasn't the cleanest, linens overall seem like they were not washed recently.

We really enjoyed our stay! Proximity to town and our favorite beaches and hikes was perfect! Cooked a lot in the well equipped kitchen. and appreciated the gas bbq grill! Slept well in the comfortable beds. Really loved that we could bring our pup! Yard could use some tlc…

Great in town spot

Nice long weekend with the dog. Just what we were looking for in a quick weekend getaway. Walked to everything downtown. Watched deer and woodpeckers out back while doing a puzzle. Visited 3 beaches. Loved that there is a king sized bed.

Great Location in the Heart of Glen Arbor

Great cabin within walking distance to Lake Michigan and downtown Glen Arbor. River-side fire pit was also as-advertised and a nice space. The rental management company requires some excess paperwork, but they were responsive to all of our communications.

Close, simple, accommodating

We finished a week’s worth of vacation from up near Marquette by enjoying 2 days near the Dunes. We enjoyed what we could in Traverse City and Glenn Arbor with the time restraints were had and in-climate weather. The vacation home had all the necessary amenities to make our visit enjoyable. The best part was being able to bring our pets.

Good location, no canoe though

Location was within walking distance to downtown and could drive to a lot of places within 40min. We were disappointed that the canoe was locked to a tree and when we messaged the people, they too did not know where the key was and didnt offer to help fins it.

Nice location. The loft was pretty much inaccessible.due to the steepness of stairs. Weather could have been better. Can you work on that for next year? :-) Paperwork was too much for renting 5 days and not really intuitive.

Cute Little Cottage in Great Location

We stayed in this cottage with our pug and had a great time. We had all of the necessities and the location was so close to everything in Glen Arbor. The only negatives were that the cottage could have been a little cleaner and it is on a busy road, with the river across the street (which we knew from the listing). There was still part of bar of soap on the windowsill in the shower and there was mildew on the window as well. The cottage is also a little tired looking and could use some updating. The king bed was very comfortable and we loved the circular driveway. Overall, it was a nice stay and we were really thankful we could bring our dog with us.

We Love Foxwood!

Reviewer Comments: We love Foxwood and stay there every time we visit Glen Arbor (twice a year for the last /-10 years)! This year things seemed a little less kept up. Parts of the cottage were dirty, the shower and shower curtain had mold and mildew in/on them, the coffee maker had coffee still in it, dishes were put away dirty, and there was a fist-sized hole in the wall in the living room (which we reported immediately). Visit Up North is a great company and very responsive and kind. We cannot say enough good things about our interactions with them! We suspect that maybe no one had rented the cottage for a few weeks? It is a great location--walk-able to shopping and restaurants and hiking all around the area. It also has tons of great amenities (towels, bedding, dishes/pans, firepit, canoe, etc) that many rentals do not provide. In the off season when the area is so quiet and peaceful, it is a great little escape. It is really the perfect cottage!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A few things stand out in comparison to some other rental properties we have visited. Loved the gas stove! Linens and towels were very clean and fresh smelling.We would have liked to open the windows to air out the house a bit but the window wells were so full of dead bugs and dirt that I didn't feel it was my job as a guest to do this for the property management. Lots of packed dog hair behind furniture that was gross and kitchen table and chairs also had wads of dog fur under them.Location was great for walks into town and close to all the trails we love. We probably won't revisit because the property quality did not match the cost of the rental.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Really happy with the unit. For a family of 4 (plus dog) this was the perfect size for a 4 day stay. Would fit 2 couples as well. Everything was clean and some furniture on the newer side. My only suggestions are for the bathroom - flip the door lock to be in the bathroom, provide a sensor night light in there, and a softer overhead light since it's very harsh (especially in the middle of the night). Location is great for walking into town - which we did multiple times a day. The wifi was acceptable to take a couple of work meetings. The pipes have an odor that goes away once the water has been used... maybe refill the emulsifier between tenants. Overall a great experience, I was hoping to see a porcupine and deer in the yard. We'll be back!
