Loved how we were treated, had a nice chat with the owner. Nice room, excellent breakfast. Close to good restaurants. Great location. Not too far away from Glasgow airport so a bonus after a long flight.

Owner very friendly and accommodating. Our room was lovely, spotless and spacious. Location is great for walking or as a base for driving to various locations around Loch Lomand. Located in small village with great food & drink amenities.

A lovely B&B in Drymen
Jean was an exceptional hostess and the house was lovely. There were plenty of things to do and when rain changed our plans, Jean was helpful with providing lots of fun options with maps and handouts. Breakfast was awesome and the wifi was good. There were a few restaurants and a grocery within walking distance. The rooms were clean and good sized. The location is near the Buchanan estate and golf club and an easy drive to Stirling, Callander, and more. We really enjoyed staying here!

A family cottage in the Scottish country
What an amazing and magical place to stay. We were welcomed right away and the cottage was better than advertised. The grounds were beautiful and afforded more walk than we had time to enjoy. We had eggs, bacon, and sausage in the fridge along with milk and orange juice. Fresh bread was ready for pick-up next door at 0800 - a delightful and homey touch. The furniture was a little worn, but reflected the nature of the hunting cabin, so it was fine by us. The wifi was substandard, but worked ok in the common area (boat shed), but you won't be able to stream anything (which is fine - you should go for a walk!). The owners were so friendly we would not only recommend it, my whole family wants to come back to stay longer.

Welcoming, helpful hosts.
We stayed one night on our return home from our holiday in Scotland and received a very warm welcome from host, Jane, who offered to phone local restaurants to reserve a table for our evening meal. The Hawthorns is clean, comfortable and well located, in the centre of the village of Drymen, for access to local amenities. Breakfast is very good with a variety of options. We would be happy to return and spend more time in the area.

Nice little village and lovely guest house.
Be clear about your check in window and specify if you want en-suite as not all rooms are. Our host was fantastic with respect to Gluten free dietary requirements.
