The lady working at reception was rude and disrespectful after booking online arrived to pick up the key and told we don't hire rooms to locals with me being from Tannum sands, leaving me stressed, disrespected and fuming forced find another hotel at 8pm.

Stephen,I was not rude to you at all. But the locals always seem to come here to party and ruin my rooms and the credit card will just about always be declined which makes it out of my pocket. So they can go home to a clean house. It costs me more money to let locals stay than it is worth.

Clean and tidy, self contained. Our room was pet friendly which was great. Good location within waking distance to cafes etc. the property could use some TLC but it was fine for a weekend.

It was affordable for a short getaway clean & tidy. Would have been good to have cutlery and crockery available considering there was a microwave & toaster but nothing to eat with or on.

This very small room had now window. It was not safe to let the door open for fresh air during the night. The furniture was old. I know that the price was cheap.

What a great Motel - very comfy beds, luxurious towels, lovely Managers! We just wish we could’ve stayed longer but we’ll back. Thanks for making us feel so welcome and comfortable.

Our stay was awful! We paid for 2 adults and 1 child in the booking! The pic had a queen bed and a single. Once there, there was only 1 bed, the lady was really cranky and charged me extra for my son? There was no where to sleep the 3rd person. Was really disappointed. As it was for a sport carnival there was no other accommodation and we had to stay. I would not recommend! Wotif needs to advertise what we are booking. I didn't expect 5 stars but I did expect a bed for all of us.

If people would call and book they would not have this Problem. The room that was booked was for 2 people only and the price was also for 2 people. I was not cranky with you at all and you agreed to pay for the third person. So please in future call then you will know what you have booked and what is available.

Nice & clean but very basic. Air-conditioner in the wall the so noisy, I had to turn it off. Toilet cistern was so old, the plastic was very brittle & I thought I was going to break it with every flush. Ok for an overnight stay if travelling through Gladstone.

Doggy stayed with us but always feel the pet rooms are second rate. It was dated and needed painting. There was water damage to walls. No fly wire door so couldn’t allow air to circulate. Fan in bedroom only worked on higher speeds.

As you could tell we were painting the outside and for the fly screen door well not all pet owners are responsible and the catrs and dogs tore the screen so that is why it was removed.

Lumpy/dipped tarmac in the carpark that I tripped over and fell down with minor scrapes. General facilities good, plenty of cooking equipment - hot plates, good-size fridge, plates and cutlery. Too much light in the room at night, even with the heavy blockout curtains it still came in underneath, and through the bathroom window. Handy to walk to the central town area.

Yes should have closed the bathroom door it helps keep the light out coming in from bathroom window and the carpark yes there is a lumpy piece on the tarmac sorry you tripped on it but you do have to watch where you are walking not looking behind you up at the building. We have tried many times to have it fixed but it keeps coming back.

Central location and cheap room BUT Smoking allowed on common access walkway “balcony” directly outside rooms. Smoke permeates into rooms even with door closed. Noisy communal glass recycling wheelie bin placed directly outside room. Most room access via stairs only due to hilly site.

Made it really easy for a very late check in as we had to drive 1456kms that day so arrived well after office hours. Room was very well priced and had everything needed. Easy to find the room and parking while tight was adequate.

Very affordable and you get what you pay for. I paid for a budget room and was ok with it, except for the dead cockroach in the middle of the kitchen floor that wasn’t removed and I wasn’t about to remove it. Other than that, it was ok, I might stay again, owners were nice.

Hi Scott Yes we like to have a credit card on file for damages or drinks and chocolates out of fridge. I was not rude at all but you also complained that room was small and outdated, but yet you said you had stayed in that room before. Some people are never happy or just having a bad day.
