Staff was friendly and accommodating. We came in very late and they made arrangements for us to get our room key quickly and without complications. The hotel is historic so it is not new but is well kept. The beach walk/ trail is fantastic with incredible views. Would recommend and would return.

We had a great stay one-night stay at the Gilleleje Badehotel just outside of the high season. Everything about the property feels premium. The room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. We opted to eat in the hotel dining room and the food prepared by Vik was exceptional. We’re talking perfectly seasoned and beautifully cooked European dishes with top-end restaurant presentation. The cost of the meal for two was equivalent to the board but was absolutely worth the price point. I couldn’t believe the whole service was produced by a single chef. Brits be warned there are no kettles in the rooms. Instead the hotel lays on coffee and sweet treats for guests to enjoy every afternoon. (You can get hot water from the kitchen at any time though.) The vibe at a badehotel (bathing hotel) is a cross between a BnB and a guesthouse. The average age skews slightly older but we enjoyed the more relaxed pace and communal atmosphere of the hotel. The sauna and steam room were an added bonus and the cosy lobby with log fire provided welcome respite from the rain. All the staff were really welcoming and attentive. Natalie went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed, offering great chat and plenty of advice on travel around the Danish Riviera. We would definitely come back again.

We stayed at the hotel 8 yrs ago and we were so happy to return to find it still was as wonderful as we remembered! This area of Denmark is the most beautiful and charming and the hotel is like going back in time

Sehr schön und ruhig gelegenes Hotel in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Meer, das sehr stilvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet ist. Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist zwar eher übersichtlich, aber alles war lecker. Das Abendessen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Zimmer sind bewusst so gestaltet, dass sie eine authentische Erfahrung aus vergangenen Zeiten vermitteln. Das ist sehr schön umgesetzt, allerdings ist die offene Gestaltung des Badezimmers etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig und nicht komfortabel. Die Dusche verfügt über keine klassische Duschkabine, sondern lediglich über einen Duschvorhang und einen Abfluss im Boden. Dadurch wird beim Duschen leider etwa das halbe Badezimmer nass und der Boden muss anschließend mit einem Handabzieher abgezogen werden. Eine kleine Ablage direkt in der Dusche für Shampoos wäre außerdem sehr hilfreich, da es im Bad generell nur wenige Ablagemöglichkeiten gibt. Insgesamt ein sehr schönes und besonderes Hotel, bei dem vor allem die Lage, die Atmosphäre und das freundliche Personal überzeugen.

Petit hôtel plein de charme avec accès direct au sentier côtier. Hamman , sauna et jacuzzi inclus si ce dernier n’est pas fermé. Décoration très agréable on s’y sent bien. Chambre dans les dépendances mais très agréable quand même avec une petite terrasse qui aurait besoin d’un petit nettoyage. Petit déjeuner excellent et suffisamment varié.

Værelset var rent og godt for mig og min partner, lidt irriterende at man hele tiden kunne høre ude på gangen fordi døren på en eller anden måde var lidt utæt. Rigtigt flot og gammeldags vibe men med et godt ny renoveret værelse. De kunne godt gøre lidt mere ud af selve spa opholden da der enlig kun er en sauna og et damp bad og så en jacuzzi som man skal betale 450 kr for m. Men alt i alt meget fint

Virkeligt dejligt sted. Manglede badekåber og klipklapper på værelset. Vi fik udleveret klipklapper og ekstra håndklæder i receptionen, da vi efterspurgte det. De havde desværre ikke flere badekåber. Badeværelse på værelset var meget slidt. Middagen var skøn, men tjenerne lidt uopmærksomme. Dampbad og sauna var dejligt. Dog kunne der godt være mere fokus på koldt vand, kopper og rengøring i spa området i hele åbningstiden.

Flot sted med en følelse af den gamle badehotel ånd stadig er til stede pga bevaringen af det flotte interiør. Dejligt roligt sted, imødekommende personale, flot udsigt fra hotellet og hvis man giver sig selv at gå langs kyststien bliver man belønnet med den fineste udsigt over havet.

Smuk gammel badehotel med en fantastisk hyggelig stue etage. Vi boede på 1 sal hvor badehotel stemningen var manglende. Værelserne er egentligt ok, sengen behagelig og bruseren god. Men stemningen af gammel badehotel udebliver med værelset grå farvede vægge. Så ærgerligt at stemningen ikke er trukket med op på værelserne. Personalet som vi mødte virkeede en smule uengageret og smil var der ikke mange af. Morgenmads personalet kunne knap snakke engelsk og slet ikke Dansk. Vi fandt ud af det, men det påvirker helhedsindtrykket.
