"We had a great stay here in Gili. Nearby restaurants and the harbour. The staff were very accommodating with all our requests and always friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One thing to note is that there is a mosque nearby, so you can hear the call to prayer around 5am. However, this seems to be common across the island, not just this hotel. If you are a light sleeper, I would definitely recommend bringing earplugs. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the kindness and hospitality...

"Wonderful little resort with such kind and helpful staff. Well worth the price especially with breakfast included. The sunset views and atmosphere were great. We wish we stayed longer than two nights especially since it took a while to get to on the public ferry! The only thing to note is that it is about a 30 minute walk from the ferry port so most people use horse and cart to get there."

"Bask is an incredible undertaking of an international high end hotel build on a tiny island. The design and attention to detail is amazing and the food and drinks on offer are brilliant. The tempura prawns, sushi and lobster ravioli deserve special mention and their smoked negroni is the best I’ve had. The setting provides a great atmosphere for afternoon cocktails and chatting to other guests at the swim up bar. For the area it comes at a price, but for international travellers it offers reasonable value. Service is a tale of two halves. All the staff are friendly and greet you by name, but some of the small details are missed. When we checked in to our cabin with a pool, we were told we could order breakfast etc to our room, but there wasn’t a menu in the room. When I went to reception to ask for a menu, I was passed to 4 different people and it felt a bit unnecessary. We had a private terrace and pool, but no comfy seating or loungers, so couldn’t really use our private space for what we wanted. I asked if we could get some. Again, it involved being passed to 3 people and the duty manager coming to our table during dinner to say “hi, what's the problem”, without greeting us or introducing himself, which seemed odd. They did however accommodate our request, but we woke to find noise from building work next door anyway. These niggles didn’t dampen a brilliant stay and I only mention them because it was at odds with an otherwise amazing experience."
