The Beekeeper s Cottage is a short term/vacation rental. Located beside the main home the beekeeper s cottage has friendly, happy bees to right of driveway that provide fresh honey. We have 2 sweet white small ducks that enjoy the back-yard pond/water-fall area. We also have a 12-year old black manx kitty names Gideon, and a small indoor dog named Daisy plus a sweet bunny named Newman.
In summer we have a beautiful garden and a wonderful back-yard and relaxing hammock.
The cottage is decorated in a beekeepers style, with an antique white iron bed with a new mattress. A small kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower.
This property is also ideal for traveling professionals on an out of state project, locals needing a residence while their home is under construction, traveling nurses, graduate college students, people moving into the state and looking for a place to stay while they house shop.

This beekeeper s cottage is an easy drive to Tacoma, Bremerton, Seattle, Bellevue, Mt. Rainier and the rainforests of the Olympic Mountain range.
But first make sure you partake in everything Gig Harbor and nearby areas have to offer. After you've strolled through the quaint downtown and shopped the boutiques and antique stores take your pick from any of the great restaurants and cafes. Seafood is always on the menu.
From the ever popular Tides Tavern for casual waterfront dining to Anthony s where the views are as fabulous as the food. You won t be disappointed by the wide variety of culinary choices.
Gig Harbor is surrounded by water so you can take your pick of activities. Go whale watching with Destiny Tours, check out the History Museum to learn about Gig Harbor s nautical past, pack a picnic and head to one of the many great state parks for a day of sun and sand.
Paddle boarding, kayaking, boating, shopping, restaurants and coffee shops abound within blocks.
Double check the address we are on 64th Ave but Google maps sometimes send people to 86th for some unknown reason.

    Quiet and peaceful setting on a beautiful property

    I enjoyed staying in the cozy cottage. It’s very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The downtown area is not far from the vrbo and there are many things to do and see there. Gig harbor is quite nice with great restaurants On the harbor. Brent and Nina are wonderful hosts.

    The property was just as advertised. The Bee Keepers Cottage was so cute. All the amenities were there. Good location and the surrounding trees were so tall, I was in awe! I highly recommend.

    Extended weekend to chill

    The place was so lovely and had just the amenities so we didn't have to run to the store for this or that. We felt welcome and loved the ducks! See ya again.

    Beautiful quaint getaway!

    This place is adorable! The owners are lovely and take great care to make sure you have everything you need- including homemade beeswax products, honey and fresh eggs from their chickens! Perfect for one or two people - very romantic little cottage. I will definitely go again!

    Highly recommend this charming cottage

    Wonderful stay in this adorable cottage. This cottage is tiny but so welcoming and comfy. I went to Gig Harbor for a women's retreat and this was the perfect compliment to a weekend away. They have thought of all the details to make you feel welcome from the bottle of wine and treats to the coffee and relaxing decor.

    The little paradise in Gig Harbor

    My stay at the Beekeeper’s Cottage was entirely delightful. Nina is a wonderful host and a lovely human being. She and her husband were so welcoming and thoughtful. The cottage was perfect: clean and comfortable and very pretty. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was sorry to have to leave!

    Beautiful garden retreat

    Thank you Nina, for the best vacation rental experience we've had! This was our first time renting a property where the host is also in residence and we were uncertain of how it would go; it turned out to be delightfully easy! Nina made us feel completely welcomed and at home, as did her adorable menagerie of sweet animals (hi River, we miss you already!!). Having the option to relax in the gorgeous backyard/garden or make the short drive to charming downtown Gig Harbor gave us the best of both worlds. We're so glad we found Beekeeper's Cottage and can't wait to go back again.

    Perfect Weekend Stay

    The Beekeepers Cottage was perfect for the weekend while attending my class reunion. Close enough to my events, but far away enough from the noises of being directly in town. It is comfortable with a modern cottage look and feel to it. The hot tub was a great bonus just outside the cottage and a part of their beautiful backyard garden space. The owners are wonderful people who obviously care about their guests and the accommodations they provide. Along with getting to know both Nina and Brent, I enjoyed my daily greeting with their beautiful fluffy dog and cats along with their pair of ducks. Everything was great! Thanks so much!

    Respite away from busy life and host thought of everything!

    Cute cottage nestled in a beautiful yard with everything you need. We were greeted with a basket filled with goodies and a bottle of wine. The yard is a great place to relax and hang out. We ate at one of their tables outside and enjoyed the morning and evening. Some many beautiful plants and flowers. Comfortable bed and small kitchen area provided very thing you could need. Nina is a great communicator and hope we get to meet next time….yes we will be back!!

    Tranquil escape

    We were looking for a place to decompress after some hectic work weeks and this cottage was perfect. It's a little off-the-beaten track in a residential area about 12-15 minutes drive from Gig Harbor but the second you walk through the back gate you feel the stress drain from your shoulders. The grounds are kept immaculately and we loved sitting on the porch of the cottage with a glass of wine taking in the surroundings. The cottage is tiny but adorable and kept spotlessly clean. If you're looking for a place to clear your head and get out of the rat-race for a while this cottage is for you.

    Adorable little cottage!

    This adorable little cottage has everything you need! Every detail has been thought about with the guest in mind...from the nice shower, luxurious towels and comfortable bed to the fine dishes and coffee pot ;-) The owners are also super nice and very accommodating. If you need something just ask! There is a hot tub on the property and with permission from the owners we were able to use it as well. This cottage is nestled behind the owners home with beautiful gardens with gorgeous flowers everywhere. (They are one of seven finalist homes on the Gig Harbor Garden tour!) We had such fun watching the little chickadee who had a nest in the birdhouse (on the front of the cottage) and hearing the babies during the day. The little electric fireplace put off enough heat to warm the place at night as we had a couple chilly evenings. There is designated parking on the right side of the garage which has signage. There is a white picket fence gate between the house and the garage with a step up and a nice pathway to the cottage. Once we arrived we had no difficulty knowing where to park or finding the cottage as every detail was spelled out in the description and it was just as they said. We arrived late at night and Nina had the lights on for us and we had no trouble at all. Everywhere you look the owners have done an amazing job! We so enjoyed our stay we will definitely be back! Thank you Nina and Brent!

    A most-lovely backyard cottage!

    We were very impressed with the beekeeper’s cottage. It was beautifully decorated, easy to get to, and had just about everything we needed. We got in late at night after a concert and were able to park in our designated spot and get to the cottage easily. We were greeted with a lovely welcome note, a bottle of wine, honey products, some candies, and coupons for local shops. We spent most of our days out on the town and didn’t get to meet our hosts but we could tell just how much thought and love was put into the little property. We really enjoyed the little ducks!! One note is that the property is not on the beach and there was not air conditioning as listed, but neither of those things posed a problem for us since it cooled off at night and was a quick drive to the harbor. We also couldn’t figure out how to use the coffee maker provided (probably user error) but we were okay with that since it gave us another excuse to get out on the town early for our morning coffee. We loved every moment staying in the beekeeper’s cottage and will absolutely do so again if we get an opportunity in the future! Thank you Nina!

    Our stay at Nina’s Beekeepers Cottage

    This is a REALLY cute place. My wife who loves to garden DID NOT HELP moving stuff as she was so busy taking pictures of the property. We had a very pleasant stay here while our house was under construction nearby ….and it was one of the smarter decisions we made.
