"Although we were aware that the hotel was closing we still expected 4 star accommodation as that is what we paid for. The pool and terrace area were in a very bad state of disrepair and the pool area unusable. We asked for an upgrade to a sea view as there road works at the front of the building and therefore noisy but were told ( 6 hrs after asking and having to ask again)that no rooms were available although the hotel was clearly far from busy. "My Uncle served on Gibraltar back in the 70’s, so it’s always been a bucket list vacation destination. Gail’s was great, meeting us personally and having a nice welcome basket for us. Her place was immaculate and easy walking distance to downtown. My only regret was only staying one night. 5 stars across the board!"
