Luxury country villa with pool and sea and the offshore islands

"We stayed at Villa Siga Siga for 10 days at the beginning of September. From booking through to checking out, communication with Derk and Judith was excellent and thorough. We even received a Christmas card! Whilst staying at the villa we were looked after by Will and Jan and again, communication was great and the one small issue we had was taken care of immediately.We arrived to find a bottle of wine, some beers, and jar of olives waiting for us which was appreciated.The property was clean and had everything we needed, even sharp knives in the kitchen which I find are often lacking in rental places! The villa was located in a peaceful area with wonderful views, making it the ideal place to unwind and relax. The only thing we heard were a couple of horses being walked up and down the lane each day. The swimming pool was well used during our stay as temperatures reached the mid-thirties at times. There were plenty of areas to sunbathe with lots of sunbeds and mattresses. Swim aids and toys were available for children.There are several terraces with tables and chairs to choose from.We found it very useful to be able to wash and dry our clothes midway through our stay, everything in this regard was provided. The air conditioning was heavenly, although we tried to limit its use as much as possible.We loved eating out at the local tavernas and the meals we had were extremely reasonable.A car is required, be aware that the road is very stony so drive carefully!"

"Beautiful hotel! But it lacked a fun vibe. We’ve stayed at several W hotels, and the website didn’t accurately depict the environment. The lobby bar and restaurant was empty every night. Several of the pool waiters seemed annoyed to be working, and even did an eye roll when we asked ordered water."

"The downstairs swim-up apartments at Giavlova Hills 8 really are superb. Two good-sized double bedrooms with excellent storage, a large bathroom with shower and separate toilet. The open-plan kitchen-diner and lounge lead on to a spacious patio equipped with a large table and chairs, plus sofa and coffee table. We stayed in apartment No.2 and it's perhaps worth pointing out that owing to the porous nature of the stonework used to build the development, there was the odd stain, including a footprint, on the patio but I am being a touch pedantic. The real stand-out was the swim-up pool. I have to say that in almost 50 years of travelling abroad this was the cleanest pool I have ever seen. The pool maintenance man was there every morning with his under-water robot vacuum and it showed. An absolute credit to him. Yet the apartment still wouldn't score a 10 with some of the ladies out there - including my wife. Reason? The only mirror in our entire apartment was in the bathroom along with a wee shaving mirror. Now ladies like to look their best before they go out in the evening and if they can't check out their appearance most will not be happy. So come on Gialova Hills management. Put full-length mirrors on the back of the wardrobe doors, add a couple in the lounge and the girls will be happy. They might even score you a 10. Finally, thanks to Nikos from the management company who was a big help throughout our stay."

"Our stay was brilliant, exactly what we needed and we spent some great days by the pool, I would say it’s a 5 min walk in to town and a further 5/10 to the beach area but we enjoyed it being a little further out and the hosts were so accommodating and generous we had the best time and will definitely be recommending it to others!"
