"Martine was very welcoming and we had a lovely overnight stay at her B&B which had everything we needed. Mons itself had plenty to offer and I’m sure is beautiful most of the time unfortunately they were doing some serious maintenance while we were there and there was lots of the roads dug up. "

"Elke and Wout are lovely. They are generous, kind, and sensitive hosts. Their home is beautiful. You will be treated to big breakfasts served on lovely China with delicious homemade bread, eggs from their own chickens, homemade jams, locally made cheeses and various meats. "Located just steps away from the Grand Place, this hotel is charming, clean, comfortable and the staff are wonderfully kind and helpful. The bed has been so comfortable and I have been able to enjoy a plethora of events just steps away. Highly recommend! "

"We had an excellent time at B&B Hotel Mons. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with great bathrooms and comfortable beds. However, the best part of the stay was the customer service. Most notably, Theo, who greeted us at the front desk on both of our visits (we had two nights booked in separated by a night elsewhere). He was warm, genuine, friendly and even provided my partner an opportunity to practice her french. Theo also celebrated our engagement with excitement and glee and made us feel welcoming throughout. I am not sure if there is any reward for a good review. But Theo deserves commendation for his excellent customer service. We plan to return down the line and hope to be greeted with him then too."

"My family booked a premium room at a wellness spa. This is not what we experienced. Access to the room was via a narrow staircase into the loft. No hand rails. Narrow steps. Basic health and safety issue. The room felt like a half converted loft. Curtains simply hid what was basically an area of junk. The bunk bed for the kids has a large spike just above it. If a child where to sit up quickly i they would put a hole in their head. The one loft window in the room is low down and ridiculously easy for child to climb out of. The bathroom is basic. Almost unfinished. The bathroom draws had human hair in them. Retrospective investigation of their website shows the owner chooses to argue with complainants and not deal with issues. All up. A poor experience. So poor I packed my bags and left 30 minutes after arriving. Complete waste of money and borderline scam due to the missrepresentation of what you actually get."
