  • Welcome to The Getty House! Conveniently located just steps from the heart of The Gettysburgs square where you`ll enjoy unforgettable dining and shopping options.

    This home combines modern decor with a mix of historical touches throughout the home. Bring the whole family, there`s room for 7 people!

    Enjoy all that Gettysburg has to offer! After a day of enjoying the beautiful Battlefields, you`ll enjoy a relaxing evening on the deck around the fire pit.

    We can`t wait to host your next visit!

    The space
    Enter the home from the street or from a private rear access. The main entry way features a beautiful 1900`s stair case with historic decor displayed on the walls.

    Living Room.
    The spacious living room offers a relaxing space to recline on the leather couch while enjoying a movie or TV show. The big historic windows gleans the light and greenery from the outside, giving a relaxing atmosphere of nature and history.

    Bedrooms
    The upstairs Master Room boasts a view of Gettysburg`s historic district. Your king size memory foam mattress is sure to give you a welcoming night sleep. The bunk room offers a custom made bunk room and bean bags to deliver comfort and a home-like touch. The bunk room and Queen room both have balcony deck access. You`ll enjoy an early morning breathe of fresh air as you walk out onto your deck.

    Dining Room
    The Dining room offers a custom handmade dining room made of chopping block. The decor on the walls display some authentic historical pieces of General Sickles, Abraham Lincoln and an art display of Lincolns Gettysburg Address.

    Outdoor Deck
    The dual-level deck offers a private entrance from the area and a private access from the Queen and bunk rooms. Your deck also offers a nice patio seating area with a gas fire pit.

    Guest access
    All guests will have keyless access to the front and rear door of the house.

    Front and Backdoor have keyless door entrances.

    Although we won`t be there to greet you, you will be well equipped to get in and out of the property. You can easily access any of our hosts to answer any questions or problems you may encounter.

This property was an excellent location right in the heart of Gettysburg and all of its shops and restaurants. The house was very clean and comforting. A great place to stay while visiting Gettysburg with the family!

Weekend with the kids

Great place to hang out with our first timers in Gettysburg! The boys especially liked the bath tub and back staircase! We liked the firepit. The location was ideal to walk many places. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

Great location and beautiful historic home.

We looked for a place close to the battlefield and the center of town and this was the perfect location. The home is historic and well preserved with great amenities. We highly recommend this home to rent especially for a family or friends wanting to share a place to stay.

It is a beautiful property, perfectly decorated, and central to everything. We were able to get coffee in the morning at a great spot around the corner. We would definitely stay here again and can't wait for our next visit!

Great stay in Gettysburg

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Getty House. The location was great, we were able to walk to most places and were just a short drive from the battlefield. The house was clean, we appreciated having coffee available. Beds were comfortable, there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. Would definitely rexlmmenr for families and would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Respite during a long conference

I cannot speak highly enough of this funky, historic, thoughtful and unique home. The owner provided us with everything we needed to be comfortable, all in a fantastic location—walkable to everything but tucked into a quiet retreat. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Comfortable Home in Excellent Location

This property was just as advertised, cozy, comfortable and walking distance to downtown and minutes drive to historical sites. The beds and couch (with the electronic recliners) made the evenings after long days walking and exploring very relaxing! Communication with host and property manager was easy. Getty House Stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Getty House . The house was clean and nice . Nice to have parking in the back . We seldom used the car as we were within walking distance of tours , restaurant , shopping ( including a nice grocery ) just down the street . The host were in touch to see how things were going and immediately replied to emails . Would definaltely reccomend a stay there for anyone !

History alive

This historical town Echoes throughout the buildings that remain. This home despite its modernity on the inside still Harkens back to the style of the 19th century. The Cozy creaking floors the dark Rich Wood and the classical structure lend themselves to relaxing reminiscing and reflection. So very happy I chose this place to stay.

Awesome location and property.

The house was very clean, and well equipped. Host was quick to respond to any questions we had during stay. Outdoor area was very relaxing. We thought listing had 2 1/2 bathrooms (not sure if we just read listing description incorrectly or if it is an error) but there is one full bath and one 1/2 bath. It wasn’t an issue for us, but think it should be noted. Overall we would definitely stay here again!

Location, location, location!

We stayed at the Getty House for 3 nights in late September. The house was really nice,…just as advertised. The location was amazing, close to everything. Though we had rain for the first half of our trip, we still were able to enjoy some indoor activities and shopping. Having a house to “stretch out in” during bad weather was a blessing. And, you can walk across the alley behind the house and enter Ernie’s Texas diner for a really great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend the Getty House! The house was very nice and clean. Although we did not cook, the kitchen appeared to be adequately stocked. The outside deck had nice furniture and the fire pit was an added plus! We all commented that we would definitely stay here again. You cant beat the location. Just park your car and walk everywhere. The hosts of this home were incredible! They were welcoming and provided clear and precise informatio/instructions. They made the rental process and stay absolutely seamless!

Fun weekend in Gettysburg

The Getty House was a perfect choice for a weekend stay in Gettysburg for me, my husband and 18-year-old son. The house is adorable and located just a block or so from the town square. Lots of great restaurants and cute shops are in easy walking distance from the Getty House. The house was comfortable and inviting, with nice thick towels, a well-stocked kitchen, an over-sized full bathroom upstairs, along with a half bathroom downstairs. We only needed two of the three bedrooms, but the unused bunk room could have easily fit two or three more people. The hosts provided plenty of information about the workings of the house and how to contact them. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home and great location

The Getty House and hosts were wonderful. Communication from our hosts was always fast. Water and snacks were waiting upon our arrival. The hosts provided great recommendations for restaurants and tours in advance of our trip. The home is stunning and was spotless. The craftsmanship of the home and its historic details are so lovely (like the staircase and doorknobs). The furnishings are really comfortable and everything you could need are provided. Our son loved the bunk room and the ‘hidden’ back stairs. The weather was so nice we were able to enjoy time on the porches. This is absolutely one of our favorite VRBO stays and would love to stay here again.
