Welcome to the Culp House Getaway, a beautifully preserved 1795 home just one block from Gettysburg Square. Once owned by Jeremiah and Rebecca Culp, it served as a refuge for wounded soldiers during the Battle of Gettysburg, with a back room converted into an operating space. Today, the home blends historic charm with modern comfort, offering guests a warm, timeless, and unforgettable Gettysburg experience.
Our home is located only 1.5 blocks from Lincoln Square, you can easily walk to the battlefield, museums, shops, cafés, and restaurants.
Inside the home, you will find five beautifully decorated bedrooms, all located on the second floor. The sleeping arrangements include two king bedrooms and three queen bedrooms, each designed with beautiful decor, soft linens, bedside lighting, and alarm clocks with built-in sound machines to ensure a restful night’s sleep.
The kitchen is a fully equipped gathering space that includes everything you need for cooking—cookware, dishware, and utensils—and also offers a generous selection of coffee essentials, including both a Nespresso machine and a Keurig. We have a refrigerator/freezer, oven and stove, microwave, and dishwasher. The dining area within the kitchen comfortably seats six, with room to add additional chairs if needed, making it a warm and welcoming place to enjoy meals together.
On the first floor, we also have a comfortable and spacious living room. There are two sofas, each seating up to three people, along with a table and four additional chairs. This room is perfect for playing games, watching TV on the 55-inch screen, or sharing memories with loved ones during your stay.
In our backyard, we have an outdoor fire pit. This is a great spot to unwind after a day of exploring Gettysburg!
For parking, guests may use the two-car garage, with space to parallel park one additional vehicle directly behind it. If more parking is needed, the Racehorse Alley Parking Plaza offers convenient public parking just 1.5 blocks away.
