Amazing Log Cabin in the woods!

This place is wonderful! So private and so clean and comfortable. The decor is tastefully done throughout… It is well-stocked and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Would definitely stay again.

Cozy cabin

Awesome little cabin in the woods! Loved that we could bring our dogs, the fire place and decor was my favorite part about it, great place for snowmobiling and relaxing!

Quick Weekend with Sons

Great spot, very private. Wanted some outdoor time with the kids for a couple of days and this was perfect. Close enough to Germfask for anything we needed. Will be back this summer

Just thankful.

We took a family Christmas getaway and are forever grateful we did. The cabin, nestled cozily in the woods, offered every amenity imaginable. It was clean and spacious, comfortably accommodating our family of five. After a day filled with adventures in the cold, returning to the wonderful fireplace brought us immense comfort. We felt at peace and eagerly anticipate returning in a different season to enjoy the fire pit.

Beautiful, peaceful stay

We had such a good time! We actually didn't get to do everything we wanted to do and we'll probably have to go back! The setting was really peaceful and quiet and the host is easy to contact and helpful. We really have no complaints, would love to stay again! Especially that its pet friendly, our dog had a lot of fun too. *it's remote, plan accordingly if you need specialty grocery items (gluten free, etc.) The stores are pretty essentials-only but we made it work.

Vacation Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Cedar Cabin. It was so comfortable and cozy. We loved the seclusion it offered as well. The taxidermy caught our teens off guard at first, but then became very intrigued with it! Ha! Rick was very easy to communicate with and extremely responsive. Highly recommend!

Excellent cabin!!

Where do we begin! Beautiful, cozy cabin with beautiful property! Campfire in the backyard, covered porch in case it rains. Kitchen has every tool you could possibly need to stay in and cook everything yourself, except a tea pot.🤗 The gas fireplace in October makes it cozier. The foliage was amazingly beautiful. Location with the sight seeing as well as the national parks and forest are amazing! We will definitely return here! Thank you Rick for making this our home feeling vacation! We give it a perfect 10!

Solitude

This was our third time visiting. In the last couple of years we’ve enjoyed three seasons, Spring, Fall, and now Winter. The kitchen is well appointed with all the kitchen tools needed to cook nice meals. The fireplace is one of my favorite things, as well as the solitude. If you want to eat out, we have found that the “Cut River Inn” on “2” about 38 minutes away will server you the best ribeye steak dinner you can find anywhere!!!

Deer camp 2021

We had a great 2021 deer camp at this property. The cabin is perfect and we really enjoyed hunting the land as well. Unfortunately, the deer were more active at night, we recorded some nice deer on our trail cameras. I think this area would also hunt well later in the bow season, early November time frame. Looking forward to giving it another try next year. The Jolly Inn is also a good spot to watch the game or grab dinner.

Everything we wanted in a get-away.

It was an incredible location with serenity and beauty to boot. The cabin is nestled into a great wooded location free from hearing neighbors slamming car doors and listening to any unwanted neighborhood sounds. We absolutely loved the inside of the cabin. It was cozy, warm, and a rustic/modern feel. Rustic because of the log cabin look, but modern because of the amenities. It was also nice to find a quality dog friendly place. Bristal and Bullitt loved being surrounded by woods and slept comfortably in front of warm fireplace. It was a truly great experience all the way around. A great place to stay, centrally located to a myriad of great attractions (so many great waterfalls), great restaurants, really good communication with the manager of the property. Overall, an A+ experience.

The cabin was centrally located. The cabin was nicely decorated and in excellent condition. Everything was in working order and in good shape. We took day trips to Pictured Rocks, Munising, Marquette, Manistique, Tahquamanon Falls, Paradise, Grand Marais, and Fayette Historical State Park while we were there. We ate dinner at the cabin all but one night since it had a well-equipped kitchen and a good gas grill on the back porch. If we are able to visit the UP again we would be happy to return to the Lazy Cedars. Rick is an excellent host. He was very quick to respond to my questions.
