I did send a message in advance to the owner with my flight info and the date of arrival. When we arrived at the place, owner was standing in his courtyard in his underwear, and his wife was surprised to see visitors at her home. She told me that she canceled my booking, then she told Vrbo that she has no access to her booking....

"Even though there were some initial miscommunications (when we booked the listing said "entire place with 2 bedrooms" but they meant to say only one room), the host immediately sorted it out and gave us two very nice rooms as booked. The property is beautiful with a fantastic view of Mt Kazbegi, and a nice yard, and the host is very nice and accommodating. When I finally showed up at the location, it was a ghost town—no one was there! I immediately reported this unresponsive owner to VRBO support, and they assured me they would find me an alternative accommodation the same day. Well, guess what? It's been over 14 days, and I still haven't seen a single penny...
