Blue Hues is a centrally located home that sits on over one acre of gardens along with a protected calm water sandy beach and a wonderful reef offshore for snorkeling.We are located in the very private exclusive enclave of Old Hooper's Bay which is a 30 acre private community just west of Hooper's Bay. This center island property is shared with only 7 other seasonal homes and borders its own exclusive community calm water Beach and Park reserve and is tucked away from the main road. Their are no private beaches in the Bahamas but our private (no public access) entrance to Old Hooper's Bay makes our home and beach a very peaceful and most importantly a very private place. Our prime center Island location offers the benefit of easy access to Georgetown and many amenities, which include banking, shopping, restaurants and groceries. The guest house and main house come as one if desired and will never be rented separately to other groups.

Blue Hues is a well appointed Beachfront Home with optional Guest House along with its own Private Pool which offers a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends. This beautiful home sits on over one acre of lush gardens surrounded by over 40 years of local hand crafted stonework and native terraced landscaping .Our home has over 180 degrees of stunning turquoise water views complete with a large outdoor patio and a expansive pool deck which offer great places to relax and unwind at the end of the day.
You can stroll the rarely occupied Beach and calm waters just steps away.

This 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath main house has been superbly furnished and offers luxury island living at its best. Three of the bedrooms are in the main house with an additional rental option for the Guest House complete with a queen bedroom, living room, full bath, and kitchen. This is a perfect unit for Nannies, Grandparents or older Children.
*Main House and Guest House are provided with automatic whole house generator in the event of power outage which can be frequent.
Our wireless WIFI network along with Star link for our TV streaming service works great throughout the property including the Beach
*** NOTE: Main house sleeps 6 adults with a extra queen cabinet bed in bedroom two suitable for 2 small children for the 795.00 per night rate.
Our Guest House sleeps two adults only and if desired,additional charge is 190.00 per night plus 50.00 cleaning fee.
***GUEST HOUSE and MAIN HOUSE come as one and will NEVER be rented separately or to other groups

Amazing Host. Stunning Property.

The host and property exceeded our expectations. I have been traveling to Great Exuma for years and this property has everything...beach, pool, beautiful tropical landscaping and a well equipped house! Heaven on earth

One week isn’t long enough. The beauty of the sunrise from the back porch every morning made it worth setting our alarm clocks even on vacation. There are plenty of amenities on the property and it is very close to Georgetown. We will definitely be returning to Blue Hues in the future. Thank you again for the wonderful memories!!!

Bucket List Vacation was PERFECT!!

The Blue Hues house is the place you want to stay in Exuma because this house has it ALL! There are breathtaking views, it has a pool, and a beach! Rick has a garage full of ANY of your needs for the pool and beach. You can swim out to the reef to see lots of fish and we were all blest find a sea turtle! The house and guest house worked perfectly for 8 adults and an infant. Rick is super to work with and Michelle was the best helping us get settled into the house.

Beautiful location

Two couples loved the beautiful, private location. Had the beach to ourselves, kayaked over to see the turtles, enjoyed the beautiful gardens and lovely pool. The pictures do not do it justice. The home is wonderful.

One week in paradise!

We just returned from our first trip to Exuma. We rented Blue Hues based on location, reviews, amenities offered, view... everything is accurate. It is a nice CLEAN home situated in a "resort feeling" setting of beautiful landscaping. All with an amazing view of the gorgeous turquoise waters of the Bahamas.We enjoyed the private pool, almost private beach, nice spacious back patio with plenty of comfy seating options. There were no surprises! We don't know if we'll ever be back on the island, but if we are, we would not hesitate to rent Blue Hues again. Rick is an amazing owner and so easy to work with! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

We stayed here for my 60th Birthday. The villa is stunning, attention to detail 1st class, with everything at the property you could wish for. Beach towels, beach chairs, beach matts, coolers to take to the beach. The interior is stunning, with everything you need and more and the gardens are so pretty and private and the location is superb. 7 properties in 30 acres, totally private in a private quiet road with its own beach for residents! The pool has sun loungers and inflatables in the garage. The annexe was so nice and none of us wanted to leave. The host gave us so much information and was so helpful. I don’t think you could get a better villa and location in Exuma . As we are from the Uk it’s a long way for us but if I was in America I would be going here every year. Amazing, Amaxing Amaxing ! Picture Perfect Location - Blue Hues

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Hues. The property location was amazing and the house did not disappoint. There was a book on property that detailed everything we needed to know about this lovely home and helpful hints on local places to visit. The views were beyond amazing and although there were other houses in the neighborhood we had the beach to ourselves everyday. We traveled the island to view other beaches but in the end paradise was in our back yard. Definitely would recommend this beautiful home for your next vacation destination.

Family Vacation

Blu Hues was exactly as pictured! The views were amazing! We loved the privacy the house offered, beautiful garden areas to explore and a mostly private beach. The location was perfect as we could get to each side of the island and the airport easily. The house was very clean and well appointed. We would definitely stay there again! The property owner went above and beyond to communicate with us before and during our stay. We loved this family vacation!!

Paradise in the Bahamas!

House was amazing, well stocked with everything we needed. The pool was perfect. The grounds were gorgeous and pristine. The views of the ocean were breathtaking as well as the beach itself. The owner was our concierge throughout the entire planning and trip itself. He kept in close contact with us throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to meet our every need. We will be back next year.

Great Return Visit

This was our second week at Blue Hues and it was even better than the first. Rick, as mentioned, was extremely communicative before and during the visit and is the best host. The house has everything needed for a comfy stay, cookware for meals and beach equipment. They have thought of everything. The beach and pool are the highlight of the stay and you really feel like you have your own private beach for the week. Would 100% recommend Blue Hues, we will be back again. Thanks to Rick and Jodi.

Zero negative things to say about the entire Blue Hues experience. Rick is so helpful from initial booking to arrival to the stay to departure. The house is amazing. Amazing views. Amazing location. Amazing amenities. You will have everything you need to completely relax and enjoy your time in the Exumas. Every detail has been thought of and executed by the Hughes regarding all aspects of the house and property, and the island does the rest! So thankful to have found such and perfect property and will be back ASAP.

Amazing home

Rick & Jodi thought of everything for this home! Our family loved the layout of the home and property, the gorgeous beach with fabulous sunrises & sunsets and the location to town. The bedrooms were perfect for our 3 kids and our tallest teenager slept great on the pullout bed! The kitchen had spices and extra cooking items, the ability to use the washing machine and dryer allowed us to reduce luggage and the floats in the garage allowed us to float and talk in both the ocean and pool. We can’t say enough wonderful things about the home and the property and we can’t wait to return!

Couldn't be better

We loved every minute of our stay at Blue Hues! It's an exceptional property with non-stop views of the beautiful Exuma water in every shade of blue, birds singing, palms blowing in the breeze, waves crashing, and flowers blooming. The house is lovely, calming, comfortable, and clean. The location is ideal, you're in the middle of the island and very close to the grocery stores and town. Rick is great, very communicative, assisting every step of the way. We've never had a better host. We'll be back!
