Lodge is clean, modern, and comfy. Brendi is awesome in welcoming us. Road to the lodge is kind of difficult to get to since there were many potholes, but overall we enjoyed our stay at this lodge. They have kayak on the property that we used on the water. There’s also a nice sandbar that pops up in the afternoon. Would definitely stay here again when revisiting Exuma!
The Lodge was clean and bright. I particularly like the water filtration system eliminating the need and expense of buying water for cooking and drinking. Spencer, the host, was always immediately available through Whatsapp to answer questions and take care of any concerns. A perfect spot for an adventurous couple to enjoy kayaking, snorkeling and flats fishing.
Location was perfect. It was well supplied with the amenities we needed. Loved the kayak ride to the island across the sandbar (did it 3 times and each time the island was ours ALONE). Enjoyed paddle boarding in the cove by the house. Spencer was quick to respond to any needs or questions we had and Brindi as well (both before and during our stay). If you are a couple seeking an affordable, clean, and great locale don’t hesitate to reserve this property. If we come back to Exuma (which I hope we will) we will reserve again! Make sure to bring plenty of bug spray/repellent with you.
What an amazing property. I still can't get over the stunning views from every window. Since the island is only about 37 miles, the location is perfect no matter where you want to go. I have seen quite a few comments on what vehicle to rent due to the condition of the road accessing the property. We decided on Kia Sportage which we were happy with because it gave us some additional clearance but can you make it in a standard passenger car? Absolutely, just go slow. The house has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The kayak and paddleboard were the icing on the cake :-) Can't wait to visit again!
My husband and I enjoyed 10 days at Blue Hole Lodge for our first visit to Exuma. We just got home and miss it already. Spencer was very responsived and explained alot about area before we booked it. Once booked, he answered all questions and provided intro to his conceirge, Brendi and she provided us a Car rental option too. Spencer's family is local and very friendly and helpful if we had questions. The Blue Hole Lodge was very clean and comfortable for two of us. Not sure I would have 4 at least now that we are older. We kayaked and paddleboarded right out of lodge and ventured over Blue Hole and onto Mosquito Cay on a different day. It is less windy side of island so less waves however we did have a few mosquitos at dusk and dawn when wind dropped. Next time we will be more sprayed up to stay out a view the stars but honestly after busy days we mostly crashed out after a bit. Great place... we will be back and with more people so may have a few rentals in area next time. We didnt use grill but if we had planned better we could have. House looks just like picture.
We had a recent family trip to Exuma during spring break for a couple of weeks and stayed at the Blue Hole Lodge. Honestly I had to pinch myself that “we get to stay here?” everyday as I loved and enjoyed our stay. Every room of the house has a view of its surroundings, you can watch the sunrise and sunset on the deck and gaze at the stars from the bedroom. There was enough room to accommodate the three of us, all that you need is in the kitchen to cook in or use the grill outside, laundry so you can pack lighter and what I enjoyed most of all was using the kayak for two weeks. The host even lent us life jackets to use as when the tide is low the water is shallow but when it’s high tide, the water appears much deeper and it’s just peace of mind. We saw fish, turtles, birds and a stingray during our kayak trips and at low tide you can kayak to what looked like a sandbar where we saw starfish. We were also able to rent a car from the Lodge which makes it much easier to get around Great and Little Exuma, to see their beautiful beaches such as Exuma Point Beach and Cocoplum Beach and to eat at various restaurants such as Blu on the Water and Tropic Breeze. We did take out at JJ’s and Eddie’s in George Town and Fanny’s Sporting Lounge is very close to the Lodge. Be sure to take the A1 Water taxi to Stocking Island during your visit and the not to be missed seeing the iguanas, nurse sharks and swimming pigs tour with Exuma Water Sports. At the Lodge there is an ample supply of beac
We had a truly wonderful experience at the Blue Hole Lodge. The host was consistently accessible, and all aspects of our stay perfectly matched the description provided. The location was superb, offering convenient access to all amenities. We certainly look forward to staying there again in the future.
Check in was flawless. The house was clean and the view was very nice. We made use of the kayak a couple of times and that was good fun. Had the weather been better we would have used the kayak more often. The road leading into the property is horrible. We made it with a passenger car but I would recommend something with more clearance.
The property is very well appointed and is well situated right on the water. We had the most amazing time swimming , canoeing, walking across the massive sandbar to a private island and diving the blue hole. Will love to return someday.
