B&B Hotel Genova was conveniently located to the train station (though actually maneuvering to and from the station was not easy). While convenient to the Genoa downtown, the actual neighborhood seemed devoid of good dining and shopping options. The place had a young vibe, with lots of groups of teens coming and going. Getting to the room included using one of those weird antique double-door cage elevators that can be a pain to operate. The room was spacious compared to the bathroom that was modestly stocked (no soap at the sink) narrow and oddly configured (you had to swivel 45-degrees to do your business). The bed mattress was squishy but, thankfully, the pillows were firm. WIFI was rock solid.

The benefit of being just across the train station made the location noisy with constant traffic. Other than the street noise, room was large, clean and comfortable with very helpful staff

Good location for trips station across rd ,friendly staff and clean Continental breakfast good choice.Overall very pleased with Hotel no problems or issues, recommend if staying for convenience transfers or stop overs for few days , not for romantic break.

The location was perfect: just across the street from the train station. The room was very average but the bathroom was below average. The faucet was too short for the sink; therefore, the water would hit the porcelain on the faucet side and was difficult to use. The shower grout was full of mold and the floor drain was hard to move around. Lastly, there was no shower door: only a half clear glass wall which did not keep the water from splashing out of the stall. It was sufficient for our purposes since we spent very little time in our room.

Very good and staff was very helpful and friendly. Location is very good very close to the station. The breakfast is good too. strongly recommend Recommend to solo travelers.

cute convenient hotel
the front desk staff were so friendly and helpful no matter what the question. the location was perfect as it was just across from the train station. many restaurants near the hotel , some of which were great becauae we only tried a few. would stay there again. breakfasts were good also.

Super close to the train station and 10min walk to the city centre. Clean facilities and nice staff. Just beware of the alleys near the port, which can be somewhat close to the hotel.

Great budget hotel option with large, clean rooms and high ceilings. A fun old elevator too. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming and gave us great ideas for places to eat and visit.

Good location, but the condition could be better.
The hotel seems to have been renovated fairly recently, but despite that it's condition could be improved. The wall and ceiling was peeling and the silicone in the shower had several black spots. The location was very convenient, right next to the railway station. The breakfast felt rather basic.

Location is so easy- right across from train station and major bus stop. Staff were very helpful. Close to lots of restaurants, the pier area and some small shops. Cute little cage elevator. AC wouldnt get cold enough for us and was adjusted in just a few minutes. Grazie for the stay

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Staff are helpful and very nice. Directly across from the train station. Contrary to what others have said, the train station does have lifts. Just look for the pictures of wheelchairs to guide you. Great place to stay before or after a cruise.

Awful service. We went upstairs in a creaky unsafe elevator and took one look at our room and walked back downstairs to leave. No attendant at the lobby. We waited then left. Tried to call to cancel our booking and the phone rang and rang then disconnected. Went back later in person waited again for attendant. Still charged me for the room- won’t respond via email. Avoid this place!

Broken TV
Genoa is a lovely place, but not that many things to do in the surrounding area especially at night. Hotel was fine but when we checked into our room the Tv had a crack straight down the middle, the guests before us must of broke it and left without telling, meaning we had no Tv for the whole of our stay which was disappointing. The receptionist came to check the Tv and asked us if we wanted to move rooms and we said yes, so she said she will get another room ready and come collect us when it was ready. However, she did not come and get us after waiting for 2 hours we went down to find her but she wasn't there, so rather than explaining all this to the new receptionist we decided to leave it because it was too much hassle and we just wanted to unpack our things.

Not bad value for money, good location, and friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Door to corridor badly insulated, could hear everything happening outside my room. Windows also not great at keeping out noise from busy junction outside. AC unit also a bit dodgy.

Close to train. We were given a.street side room on the first floor after requesting a quiet room. The window seals allowed the wind to come through creating a loud whistling noise on top of the incredibly loud street sounds. By 11pm I went to the lobby to request a different room and the rude obnoxious male staff literally started yelling at me that they cannot do anything about the wind, no offer to change rooms. Thankfully a lady manager, Pia, appeared and immediately arranged a move to a different room. We slept well after

Great spot close to the train station. Little bit of a walk into town but the metro is also a good option or it’s a pretty walk anyways. Had a single room and it was a great spot for a good price.

Needed room by train station. Room met the need and was great. Exceeded my expectations. I am a very seasoned international traveler and this one night stay was Great. Alexandro at front desk fabulous. Genoa is really underrated. Would not hesitate to rebook next time.
