"This historic property is worn, but it may be getting updated. Our very large room had a comfortably sized newly renovated bathroom, but it seemed to have been designed by a 15 year-old boy with extremely limited experience actually using a bathroom for grooming purposes. There was a small but adequate corner sink with tall narrow mirrors on each side set at a 90 degree angle. It was impossible to get a view of one's face that didn't have a big line down the middle. Also, because of the placement of a shelf and towel bar it was almost impossible to use the hairdryer in a way to see oneself in the full length mirror on the back of the bathroom door. Our room was large and could easily have accommodated two small chairs and a table. It had no coffee maker, no refrigerator and only one chair. Bed was comfortable. Our reservation included a $25 credit for food or beverages in the restaurant. We were unable to find any restaurant, there were no signs. Next morning we found a closed bar with 5 or 6 tables set for a meal. There was nothing in the hotel open for breakfast. There was an empty coffee carafe in the lobby with no milk or sugar packets and a tray that had some crumbs on it, so presumably somebody got muffins or something. We just left. When staff has no experience staying in a hotel and little training it puts the onus on the guest to ask for everything. That's a drag. Stay was disappointing."

"Had a lovely time and Margaret was an excellent host. After some confusion on my end of finding the entrance to the space, we were greeted with a clean, comfortable and modern rental. Margaret gave us some local recommendations and had recent publications on the coffee table of places to check out. The rental had everything we needed. One point from a personal perspective, there were satin pillow cases on the bed and pillows slipped all night causing disruption to sleep, but that’s my personal situation and nothing against the rental. Overall, a wonderful stay in Rochester."

"Overall the home is great the host is responsive. Not giving 5 stars as being charged for every person that enters the home and not having full access(only able to use washer and dryer only staying 7 days is not acceptable). Although the owner did attempt to contact her housekeeper who was not available. We were hugely inconvenienced and had to use a laundry, this is not acceptableespeciallybeing charged for the twins. We had twins and of course needed to wash. If the home accomodates 12 then the renter should be allowed 12 guests without additional charges. Sending a message that guests will be locked out and not regunded if additional guests are noted right before reservation starts is not professional. We also didnt have access to cleaning items like brooms mop etc. Would also recommend adding things like measuring cups and baking pans to the home. Overall home is nice owner is responsive ."
