About this property
Heritage Cottage with Yard Near Shops and Parks
WYREEMA COTTAGE Wyreema Cottage is a colourful, character‑filled Federation cottage in one of Geelong’s funkiest little pockets, just off Pakington Street. It’s an easy, walkable base for up to six people who want good coffee, great food and a fun neighbourhood right on the doorstep.
Inside there are three comfortable bedrooms and one main bathroom, so it works well for families or three couples travelling together. The cottage has plenty of original charm, layered with quirky colours and cosy spots to curl up with a drink or a book after a day out on “Pako”.
The living areas are relaxed and lived‑in, not precious. There’s space to enjoy inside and out, chat, play games or let kids do their thing while the grown‑ups exhale. The old fashioned kitchen gives you the option to eat in between all the local cafes, pubs and restaurants a minute’s walk away.
There’s a main bathroom inside, plus a very cool outdoor toilet that guests either laugh about or fall a little bit in love with. It feels like a tiny throwback to the cottage’s past and adds to the “you’re in an old house with stories” feeling.
Wyreema is both pet friendly and kid friendly. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement, and kids tend to claim their favourite room or chair within minutes. You’re on a quiet street, but Pakington Street’s restaurants, bars, boutiques, salons, supermarkets and delis are literally around the corner, so you can park the car and forget about it.
If you like places with personality, walkable neighbourhoods and the freedom to bring your people (and your pup) with you, Wyreema Cottage will feel like the right kind of home base.
Geelong West, a neighbourhood in Geelong, is home to this cottage. The Carousel and Geelong Performing Arts Center are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Westfield Geelong and Mill Markets. Giant Sky Wheel and Museum of Play and Art are also worth visiting. Visit our Geelong travel guide

Comfortable and warm for a long stay in winter. Convenient shopping and plenty of eating options on Pakington street. Though kitchen is small it was no problem for a 10 week stay.
Lovely old property with lots of character. Pet friendly for our fur baby. Lovely garden for a tasty fish and chip dinner from across the road. Beds were very comfy and all amenities provided. Communication with host and the check in process was very smooth and easy. Would come again highly recommended.
The house was very quaint and tidy. It had everything you could need for a weekend stay. The hosts were very approachable and even allowed us to check in early in order to get to a wedding. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Rick and Merideth
