Lovely hotel - would stay again
Lovely hotel, very close to station and also right next to town. I was there for a few hours only and booked a single room, which really was just about big enough for 1 person who just wanted to sleep there (which I did). But it was comfy and clean. The restaurant was excellent. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient.

Great Hotel
Very close to the train station and easy walking distance to everything in Gävle. Very pleasant and professional greeting at check in. Hotel is a magestic old building. Very five star! We chose the cheaper downstairs room. Very quiet and spacious although it does require some steps. We slept very well. Breakfast was excellent. It would be harder to think of a better please to stay.

Excellent hotel friendly staff
Great hotel with extremely helpful staff, particularly the receptionist Vilma who "walked rhe extra mile". Great breakfast buffet and nice room. I will stay there again, next time in Gävle.

The beds are very, very uncomfortable. My sore back woke several times during every night as well as causing very strong stiff back when rising in the morning. The hotel needs to replace its matresses with modern mattresses.

Best bed in Gävle
The bed is everything. This hotel had a robust bed, not too soft but not too hard either. Swedish hotel's beds are normally too soft - have tested 4 different hotels in Gävle. This is the best experience so far. When you are staying longer periods and for work, when your shoulders & neck are alive, it is definitely everything! Additionally the hotel's breakfast was very positive mixture of all you need - a little bit more imagination than in "standard chain hotels".

Very nice hotel. We had a room in the basement. While there was absolutely nothing wrong with the room, the outside corridor was still under construction from the flood Gävle had over a month ago. It was quite loud outside the window too. Could be good to have some earplugs

Stayed their overnight with my girlfriend and can just say that the room was amazingly big for the price we paid. The breakfast buffet was nothing special but still good.

Nice hotel, great location.
Nice hotel. Rooms are not the biggest for 2, but ok. Nice decor, good quality amenities. Breakfast was superb. My only issue is the huge amount of noise transfer from the floor above into your room. Its to be expected in an older style building, but still annoying when you wanted some quieter time.

Great hotel at a fantastic location!
Very kind and helpful staff, great breakfast, modern and clean room. The (free) rental bikes could use a bit of maintenance (maybe replace with some cheaper new ones), but we still had a fantastic cycling day with them up to Bönan.
