4 stars Holiday Resort offering high quality vacation rentals (25 villas and cottages), bar, restaurant and many activities. Ideal for family reunions and groups of friends. Superb region to visit.

Splendid property with 35 ha (87 acres) of undulating fields and woods, "Le Domaine de Gavaudun" is a calm green oasis perfectly situated in the south of historic Perigord (Dordogne), the region of a thousand Châteaux, near Quercy, Gascony and Guyenne. Its old charming renovated buildings, its excellent restaurant, the Auberge de Vezou (in the summer), and its modern accommodations in the middle of nature, together with the many organised activities, will make for a memorable stay.

On site activities: floodlit heated pool, spa (sauna, Jacuzzi), floodlit tennis, basket-ball and volley-ball courts, football field, table tennis, trampoline, boules, billiards, play area for the children, walking trails, …
Close to the Resort: horseback riding, cycling, adventure park, rock climbing, caving, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, buggy, varied day trips.

Well behaved pets are most welcome, avoiding if possible July-August (too many children not used to dogs). This is a real paradise for dogs, with long free walks possible on the vast estate !

YOUR COTTAGE

Bedroom with a double bed, living room (with double sofa bed), dining room with equipped open kitchen (hot plates, oven, microwave oven, fridge), shower room with sink and toilet, covered terrace.

The sofa-bed brings flexibility depending on the family composition, but the units are most suitable for the indicated capacity.

All units are fully furnished and equipped and have a terrace (porch) with outdoor furniture. They also have a mini HiFi system or at least a combined clock-radio-CD.
Free Internet (Wi-Fi) available everywhere.
Laundry facilities available to guests at a small charge (washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board).

  • This will ever be known as the chateau of Josephine Baker. She had been a singer of international renown with an extraordinary career. Born in the States in 1906, she emigrated to France and became a citizen in 1937 when she married a Jew, but not before knowing the street life in America where she’d had to sleep in cardboard shelters and scavenge in garbage bins. For ten years she was the lead in the Folies Bergeres, and admired by all who saw her. Shirley Bassey once said, “I swear in all my life I have never seen, and probably never shall see again, such a spectacular singer and performer." Vacances au calme,

Séjour au super calme, campagne faite pour les ballades à pied. Déçue par la salle bain : Toilettes collées à la douche Douche avec un rideau. Nous sommes quand même dans un 4 étoiles. Jacuzzi en panne (alors que j’ai choisi cet hébergement pour le magnifique jacuzzi)
