This is a beautiful property in a great location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and close to the Gatlinburg Bypass. We had some issues with intermittent hot water in the showers. A plumber was sent but was not able to resolve the issue. We also had stink bugs, which apparently are common this time of year. The owner said pest control was scheduled to come while we were there and had to reschedule. We would’ve loved more rockers for the big porches but enjoyed the ones around the firepit. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the amenities. If the issues could’ve been resolved while we were there I would’ve given it 5 stars.
Worked great for our family and the location was perfect. Minutes away from Gathering. We had some issues with the door code when we arrived at the location and the owner answered my call right away. He took care of it right away. We will definitely be back.
This place was awesome!! Super clean, spacious and comfortable. It will not disappoint. Beds were comfortable, game room was awesome, hot tub was amazing, killer views from every window and deck, just a really great place all the way around. John was a great host and answered all of my annoying questions super quick. LOL. There will be no disappointments if you stay here.
I recently took my wife and kids to the smokies for spring break. The house was exactly what I had hoped for! When we had questions the host was quick to respond. On our last night a bear and her four cubs walked around and through the property which was a highlight of the trip for the kids. The house amenities are very user friendly and the hot tub was a great way to finish a day of hiking or walking around Gatlinburg. Great host, great house.
We booked this cabin for our first family vacation in the mountains. We have a family of ten including our in laws and it’s difficult to find somewhere to accommodate such a big crew, AND for it to be luxurious, so we were excited to have found a home away from home that could fit our needs. When we arrived however, the photos on the listing simply did not do this property justice. The home was immaculate, the decor was beautiful and it had more than everything we needed. From the games for the children and young at heart, the soaking tub and shower that hits you from all sides, the beautiful chandeliers, the extra towels for the hot tub, to the small details such as the pack and play for our two year old. This property had everything we could possibly need. Obviously people come to Gatlinburg to enjoy the great outdoors but our family was just as content if not happier in the cabin instead and that NEVER happens. When we did decide to venture out, all of the major attractions were only ten minutes away. If I could give this listing 6 stars I would!!
This was our first family vacation with all 9 of us in four years. This cabin was very accommodating with its many bedrooms. We liked that there were nice light blocking blinds so you could sleep in. There are 3 separate AC units so it helps to have a controlled temperature on all three levels with Nest thermostats. The beds and the seating throughout the cabin were very comfortable. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets were available. The hot tub was large and could fit a lot of people. Everyone enjoyed the pool table and arcade games. The kitchen was well supplied and had good seating for meals. We bought some ice ahead of time to get started as we had a large group. We enjoyed the game room and liked that we were able to stream games off our devices through the TV’s and stream movies off apps. The views are spectacular from all levels in the cabin.
Since there are only 2 trashcans in the carport area outside, we ended up adding some of our trash into the cans on the street level. It would be beneficial to have had another 2 cans in the carport. If you need something from a store or want to order food without going down the mountain the Chalet Village Market is the closest to the cabin and has a nice variety of items. The cabin is located fairly high up the mountain off the parkway. The drive up the driveway is a bit of a challenge but you can easily fit multiple cars in the carport area. It was convenient to travel into Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge.
We enjoyed using the access to the clubhouse. They have nice pools and have bathrooms and amenities like tennis and table tennis.
We saw bears everyday at the cabin. Be advised they do come out in the day time so make sure you keep you cars doors and the cabin locked at all times.
John communicated with us on a regular basis during our stay and was available for any questions we had before or after our stay. He allows you to set up a personalized door code for self check in. Our family would definitely stay again in the future.
My daughter found this listing when it first posted about a year and a half ago and we were just blown away by it, she was not so happy about the long wait though. We jumped at the chance to celebrate Thanksgiving and early Christmas in this beautiful cabin in the mountains with our family. The cabin and experience did not disappoint (except we didn't see any bears 😞) . We have already suggested the property to family and friends and wouldn't be surprised if we come back again in the near future. You were able to take in the full mountain/Gatlinburg experience from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg to the crazy, curvy, steep inclines up and down the mountain to get to the cabin. The location was perfect to getting to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. This is a must visit.
This place is stunning. It has everything you need for a nice vacation getaway. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable that I have ever had in a rental. The pictures do not show the master bed and bath but it is the bomb. Nicest bath I have ever been in. The kitchen is fully stocked. There are no words for the view, it's like a postcard. If you stay here and want to grill out it doesn't have a gas grill, bring charcoal and lighter fluid.
This home is so BEAUTIFUL and CLEAN which is a must for me and my family. We’ve been vacationing here for 19 years and this was one of our absolute favorites! The master suite was stunning and perfect for my son and his new bride who were just married on 09.28.22 @ The Magnolia in Pigeon Forge. It was a newlyweds dream bedroom with attached en-suite and private balcony! The rest of the home was perfect as well, extremely spacious with comfortable beds and high quality linens. The kitchen was fully stocked with high end appliances and everything you would need to make a fabulous home cooked meal. Each bathroom was well stocked with essentials as well. John is a very informative host and genuinely cares about his guests satisfaction. Do not hesitate to book this home for your next TN vacation, I guarantee you will be so happy!! Oh and one last thing… BEARS on site daily for your viewing pleasure ☺️
We just finished an exceptional weeklong stay at this gorgeous cabin and it did not disappoint! It is as comfortable as it is beautiful (just as gorgeous as the pictures!) and the owner is incredibly responsive and welcoming. Here are some of our favorite highlights:
- Bears! We have visited the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg many times, and have more often than not left without seeing any bears. This was not the case when staying at this cabin - we saw bears DAILY. And when John tells you to make sure you lock your car doors, he is not kidding - they left muddy paw prints on our door handles in their attempts to look for snacks in the cars. It was awesome!
- Amazing views. The drive up to the cabin isn't for the faint of heart, but once you're up there, the view is absolutely stunning. Seeing the "smoke" rise up from the layers of mountains after a rainstorm was unforgettable and all four decks have the same gorgeous view.
- Tech-forward. The cabin had blazing fast WiFi, which was perfect for our kids' devices and keeping up on my grad school homework. Plus, every TV is a smart TV, so we were able to connect to all of our favorite streaming apps.
- All of the comforts of home. The kitchen was stocked with pretty much anything you could want and all of the mattresses were exceptionally comfortable (and that is coming from a very picky sleeper with an expensive mattress at home).
Thank you again, John and Alice, for a wonderful experience and the opportunity to enjoy your lovely vacation home!
