Love staying here whenever we come to Gatlinburg. They are updating the room and carpet which is really nice. The breakfast selection is very sparse. But plenty of pancake houses just a short walk from Microtel.

I didn’t have high expectations as the room was only $52 for one night. The lady that checked me in was extremely nice and helpful. But that’s where it ended. The sheets were stained/dirty and same thing for the towels and rags. There was hair everywhere, on the bed, in the tub, on the toilet, everywhere. The bed was ok and the AC did work. The breakfast was a joke. There were only 2 tables I think. It was like they shoved it in a closet. The options were terrible. I ended going somewhere else for breakfast. The room was exactly what I expected for the price. Lesson learned

It wasn't the worst place that we could've stayed, but there were several issues. The toilets are basically squatty pottys (small and low), some towels were stained/ripped, bed was hard as a rock, and "breakfast" was pretty much Walmart snacks. The guy at check in wasn't very friendly, but other cleaning staff were friendly. The location was right off of the main strip, so we could walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. It wasn't a dirty hotel, just not well kept. The elevator made us feel like we could've dropped at any point. Distance was better than amenities, so we didn't mind the not immaculate hotel.

The location is the best part of the hotel. The staff are ok but not the friendliest. The price is good but all you get is a decent bed and shower. The continental breakfast is ok but average at best. Would stay here again but only if it was in a pinch.
