Welcome to "Bear Mountain II"! Located in Chalet Village just 10 minutes from Gatlinburg and the National Park. You will love the location, vaulted ceilings, and restful environment. Very little traffic.
Featuring a great mountain view, real hardwood floors throughout, wood-burning fireplace, nice kitchen, keyless entry, free access to swimming pools in season, tiled showers in three baths (one with tub), two newly-rebuilt decks, level parking for 3 cars, smart TVs in the great room and bedrooms, new hot tub, pool table, air hockey, wi-fi, gas grill and you can see the twinkling Gatlinburg city lights!
Excellent cleaners and additional cleaning procedures.
Three bedrooms and three baths. Home on two levels. Level one has the great room, fully equipped kitchen with an island, dining area and a king bedroom suite. There is a deck off of the dining area that has a nice outdoor table and chairs and gas grill. The lower level has a rec room with full size pool table, air hockey, futon, and wet bar. On this level is another king suite and third bedroom with bunk beds. All baths are tiled. The bunk beds are very nice with comfortable regular size mattress below and above. There is a large deck on this level with a covered area, hot tub and porch swing. All of the bedrooms in the house, the great room and the rec room have walls of windows for a great view of the mountains. The square footage is 2146.
Get to the National Park without going through Gatlinburg!
Our place is perfect for one to three couples, or one or two couples with children. There is a limit of 8 persons total. Children welcome. Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed. Please don't allow pets on any furniture.
Our cancellation policy is simple and fair: If cancelling with more than 14 days before your reservation--full refund. If less than 14 days notice, you receive a refund of 50%.of the balance after deduction of the VRBO service fee.
No smoking inside the house. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out is no later than 11 am. It is important to abide by the departure time. We have local help that see to any problem that may arise.
Everyone is welcome at Bear Mountain II. Our goal is for you to have a great visit!

Great Place for a Getaway!

We had a tremendous experience at this place. We saw bears daily in our driveway and on the mountain! The pool table and game room were wonderful for a party atmosphere, the upper deck offered a beautiful view of the Great Smokey Mountains, and the lower deck featured a jacuzzi that was perfect. The appliances were top notch, the beds comfortable, and the Black Bear decorating theme was spot on. We will stay there again!

This property was incredible! Very cozy with plenty of space for our family to relax! We’ve stayed in the area several times over the years and this rental has by far been our favorite! Stocked with everything you could ever possibly need and very well maintained!

Excellent Stay

There’s a reason this place gets almost 5 full stars. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would most definitely book this cabin again should we find ourselves back in Gatlinburg. Quick run to the Burg

We really enjoyed this property. Very clean, spacious and well appointed with a spectacular view off the deck. Five minutes from Gatlinburg strip but it was quiet and relaxed. The host was easy to communicate with, definitely recommend

Great hosts and cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay and the property and amenities were just as described. Cabin owner was quick to respond any time we had a question. The drive up and down the mountain to reach the cabin was a little disconcerting at first, but we got used to it after a couple times driving it. Yhe neighborhood felt very safe. You can reach downtown Gatlinburg in only 10 minutes. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved it!

Cozy and comfy with all the right spaces for our party. The main floor master suite worked great for my 84 year old mother, and the downstairs bedrooms and walk in shower worked well for the other two in our party. Decorated with cute bears throughout and lots of games for the family. The occasional bear sightings in the neighborhood were thrilling! And the owners have a FAC book for visitors that was very informative. Plus, they respond quickly to direct communications. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay!

Spectacular views - very quiet!

Hard to visualize the setting of this property from photos - all the listing photos are very accurate of the home and amenities. The location - although some might think challenging to reach, renders the most incredible views. Perched high above the town of Gatlinburg - great vistas of the mountains and the lights of Gatlinburg below at night. Yet still very close to town and all the sights!

Perfect Family Retreat

The location was perfect. Peaceful and quiet, however, the road to get to the house was definitely a challenge (well worth it though). Our main entertainment was numerous bear sightings, which never grew old. The house was perfect for us and our 3 adult kids. Lots of wonderful family memories were made playing cards, watching movies, shooting pool, cooking and eating meals together. The Owner was always very responsive. I would stay here again.

Wonderful Vacation

This place will NOT disappoint you, VIEW, BEARS,SPACE,BEDS, FIRE PLACE, Everything you need, bring yourself and some food, so much to do but you'll have a hard time leaving the house. We saw the moma bear n cubs 4 times and other bears in the neighborhood. ENJOY!!! Owner is Great to deal with :)

Short Getaway

This home ranks as a top rental for us. Super nice owners, amazing views, well appointed. The hot tub had recently broken and was scheduled to be replaced the following week of our stay but the homeowner gave us a discount. There is great, flat parking, which is unusual for this area. We also saw some bears in the neighborhood. We had a great time!

Wonderful Spring Visit

This property was perfect. Exactly as advertised and Tom was great to work with. This home had amble space and provided lots of room to spread out relax and enjoy the views. We even had a few visits from the neighborhood bears in the evenings. The beds were comfortable, plenty of towels and linens, dishes, and my wife even fell in love with the new washer and dryer there. The grandkids enjoyed the hot tub and we played several games of pool and air hockey. We will definitely be back!
