Abundant Amenities! Pool, Bikes, Near to beach!

"The pool area needs better policing. Outside groups are showing up, claiming they forgot their key, and putting guests / renters in the awkward position of letting them in. There was a large group of parents with kids — not staying at the Reserves — who took over the pool and made it difficult for renters to enjoy the pool. This happened with us on 2 occasions. Another family at the pool reported same issue.The master bath and bedroom needs attention. 2 lights were burned out in the bathroom. The lamp on the desk did not work. The light with the fan above the bed was not working. The hand-held shower wand is very weak. It takes approximately 4 minutes for the water to heat up (I.e water coming from the mail shower head) in the master bath to take a shower.The mattress and pillows in the master bedroom should be replaced. The mattress has lost any firmness and the pillows are hard and provide no cushion while the mattress offers no support. We are older individuals and found that we could not get a good night’s sleep during our stay. We did try the beds in the other 2 bedrooms — but, found these to be consistent with the master bed. We also called for instructions to utilize the TV. Other places that we have rented in the past have this info ready and available for tenants.In general, we felt that someone should be taking a walk-through on a regular basis and identifying areas that require attention (rather than relying on renters to assemble a punch list for you)."

"Cons: Room smelled old and like a musty dog had been in there before us. Smell went away after we were in there for a day. Carpet had a big stain that was just covered with carpet powder and partially vacuumed up. It wasn’t terrible but not the Hampton Quality in my opinion. Pros: breakfast and staff were awesome. Never ran out of anything and always stocked up. Great job breakfast crew! Also right next to a CVS that stayed open late in case you forgot something."

"Located next to a private airport, however it was not noisy. Desk clerk was nice and informative. Room was clean and breakfast good. A/C was out in the halls during our stay. Traffic stayed pretty busy however, would stay again if in the area."

"Very nice townhome in a very nice neighborhood. Andrew responded within minutes, and checked on us to be sure we got in and settled. The children enjoyed the pool and were able to walk or ride their bikes to it. The townhome was convenient to everything -- restaurants, grocery store, beach, shops. We enjoyed going over to Epworth by the Sea (practically next door!) each evening to watch the sunset and even saw dolphins swimming in the river there. We were able to store our bikes in the garage. The kitchen had everything needed to cook a full meal. Thanks so much for an enjoyable visit to St. Simons!"
