The house over looks the Yellowstone River! Absolutely stunning views. It had plenty of room for everyone and a great location. The house was clean and comfortable.
Nice place to stay. The only reason I gave 4 stars on the neighborhood is because the parking is pretty tight especially if you have multiple vehicles. It's clean and you have a nice view of the river and mountains.
This beautiful home in Gardiner, MT was perfect for our ladies hiking vacation! We enjoyed the views of the river and the elk! The location is perfect. The size and the cost for our 3 nights was unbeatable! Thank you so much for helping to make our trip amazing. :)
Nice central location. The cabin was very nice but shy on parking. Our only gripe is the water lines in the main bathroom are switched so it gives hot when it should be cold.
This lovely home is conveniently located right outside the gate and yet amongst the shops and restaurants within Gardiner. It was quiet and peaceful with comforts f home. Bone bedroom downstairs and a very tight circular staircase for the other sleeping areas. But my adult kids had no issues navigating them Great back porch with beautiful Mountain View’s! We would definitely choose this property again!
We stayed at this adorable VRBO in Gardiner for the second half of our Yellowstone trip, and it was a great experience! The property has so much character, with unique loft and nook beds that make it feel cozy and fun—definitely a place kids would love. The views from the house are absolutely breathtaking, and the location couldn’t be better. It’s within walking distance to charming shops and restaurants, making it super convenient after a day exploring the park. While the beds could have been a bit more comfortable, for the price and unbeatable location, this place is a fantastic option. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for anyone looking for a charming, budget-friendly home base near Yellowstone!
Seven adults and 2 children enjoyed the location of the house. The flowing stream right outside was delightful, and Gardiner was a fun community. The house is a little quirky, with 2 "bedrooms" being mattresses on he floor. Only one bedroom was downstairs and the wooden spiral staircase was narrow, which would be challenging for anyone with mobility issues.
Wonderful home with beautiful views of Yellowstone and Gardiner!
Check in was very easy, the hostess gave us great information about the house. The home was roomy enough for the 7 of us. Parking was a little tight. We enjoyed the deck overlooking the Yellowstone River and Gardiner. Beautiful views! The location was within walking distance to shops and restaurants. There were some issues that had to be dealt with while we were there. WiFi had also failed halfway through our visit. All in all, a very nice place.

We would have liked to use the AC since it was unusually warm the days we were there. The owner never communicated that the AC wasn’t working. Sleeping on the second floor required opening the windows. As we were packing up to leave a crew of repair men arrived ready to do substantial work on it so I suppose the next renter would have a better stay. BTW, there were four trash cans. All were full when we arrived and were overflowing for two of three days. Sorry I couldn’t rave about the whole stay. The porch over the river was wonderful. The parking was in a tight alley with junk from the businesses on the opposite side strewn along most of the alley. That was a little disappointing.
Grizzly den was a very unique cabin. There were total of 7 adults ranging from the age of 47 to 77. The stairs are very hard to maneuver and to get luggage up there is very difficult. The place sleeps 10, however really only 4 adults privately. The loft and side room is really only made for children and are mattresses on the floor with very little head room. We did not use pull out couch because didn't want to crowd the common area. The 2 double beds are very high but provide step stools to get in. Mattresses are pretty firm. All this being said, the cabin was very well supplied and we made it work for our 3 night stay. Clean and place is short little walk to town. Parking very tight. We enjoyed our stay and the magnificent views. Don't really recommend for this place for such a large group of older adult couples, but for family with kids would be perfect! Saw elk in nearby town of Mammoth. Yellowstone is gorgeous! Host was very accommodating!
The location of this home was ideal, right in the middle of Gardiner and less than 5 minutes from the park entrance! The house is quirky and kitchy, but clean and has most everything you could ask for available. Our one big complaint is that the beds are all lacking. The 2 queen sized beds are raised up so high that they are literally difficult to get into. For my 80 year old parents it was bordering on dangerous. The upstairs queen bed desperately needs to be replaced as it has a valley in the middle and is impossible for 2 adults to sleep in together. If the only other people staying at this place are children then the other beds are fine, but they are either mattresses on the floor or very small twin beds. All in all it is a cute place, but if you are looking for quality sleep this may not be the ideal accommodation for you.
Home was exactly as it was listed. It is not a huge house, but it had tons of sleeping areas. My kids loved spreading out and picking fun places to sleep. It has 4 wall unit air conditioners that do a good job keeping it cool. When we arrived they were not turned on so it took most of that evening to get it to a comfortable sleeping temperature, but after that we were able to maintain a good temp. It was cool enough to open windows in the late evening/morning. We wish there was a screen on the sliding door though to enjoy the breeze some more. We enjoyed the view from the deck to the Yellowstone River and seeing the rafters going by. It is a convenient location within minutes of the North Gate entrance. It is situated pretty close to the neighbors on each side and the parking in front is an alleyway behind some businesses. The parking was a little tight, but not too bad. We were told about this in advance so it wasn't a surprise, but it is hard to get a feel of it from the pictures alone. We had a great, quiet stay. It was clean and had what we needed. The only slight inconvenience was that you can only use the laundry from 4:00-9:00pm because it is a shared facility (attached to this rental but you go outside). It wasn't a huge problem, but we were usually still in the park at that time so I had to plan a day around doing laundry. There were multiple high-capacity, commercial washers and dryers though, so I was able to get it all done quickly. Thank you for a nice stay!
Beautiful views from the back porch! Great place to stay while visiting Yellowstone.
My family of five stayed here for three nights in August while visiting Yellowstone. I had definitely wanted to stay in Gardiner because I had heard such positive things about the town. This home was literally a five minute walk to many restaurants and the Roosevelt entrance of the park. There is also a grocery store that we walked to. We loved the back porch and sat outside listening to the river. The back porch is connected to the back porch of another cabin, but those guests stayed on their side and we stayed on ours and it wasn’t a problem.
I had read reviews that the staircase inside was tight, and it was, but it wasn’t a problem for our tall family. We did have to leave our luggage on the main floor because it would not fit going up the staircase, but that wasn’t a big deal.
The host had everything ready for us and was easy to communicate with. I had also read that the parking was tight, but we had a large Ford Expedition and just parked parallel to the house as close as we could and we had no problems. And the drive from Yellowstone to Gardiner is really pretty and we enjoyed driving through Mammoth and seeing the elk walking around on our way back-and-forth. I had read how the entrance to West Yellowstone was always crowded with people coming and going, but I never felt like that driving back-and-forth to Gardiner. We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again!
This was a good property, conveniently located, well furnished, clean, and well-serviced.Parking could be a real problem, though thankfully our stay was off-season and we found secure parking close by.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
The host communicating skills were up and down. The amenities were not in great shape missing light bulbs, broken drawers on dressers, a broken window, but a great location to visit Yellowstone
Great stay on the water and easy access to Yellowstone!
Great place to stay!! We really enjoyed Gardiner and the easier access to Lamar Valley in the early dawn hours. Everything was as described. We split our family stay for Yellowstone between Gardiner and West Yellowstone and are glad we did. Different and beneficial experiences from each area.
