"The interior of the villa is rustic with a very welcoming wood burning fireplace which was tended by the caretaker morning and night. There were two fully equipped kitchens, one inside and one outside. There were plenty of dishes and utensils for large group of people. "Pros: From the moment we arrived down an unmarked road, through the electric gates and up the dirt track driveway surrounded by oak trees, we knew this place was special. "This property gave us and a fellow family lots of space to enjoy the Sicilian sun. The pool was great as was the view towards the surrounding hills and the sea. It was nice to experience a somewhat cooler climate than down the sea. On the downside, it took us half an hour to drive up and down the hill to get fresh bread in the morning. The property is somewhat run-down with the odd gadget not working. The owner tried to fix everything though. This is not a luxury property but I would recommend...

"Abbbbbsolutely go. My best friend and I splurged a bit with this stunning hotel and I honestly, if you can- do it. The property itself is stunning and we went at a busy time of year, but it didn’t feel crowded at all. The staff could not be friendlier, the food was amazing, the private beach is spectacular and everything was just totally spot on. It’s also just a 10 minute taxi right into the city center, or 30 minutes by foot."

"Stayed here during the first week of August when a festival was going on in the town of Cefalu. Although the party would go on until 2am, you couldn't really hear it in the rooms due to the thick glass window on the balcony doors. Great buffet breakfast and the rooms were cleaned if you asked them to be cleaned whilst we were out. We stayed in a triple, which was spacious enough. The only downside is that the shower gel/body wash wasn't topped up as we got towards the end of our stay. Stayed six nights and could honestly stay for a couple more as we enjoyed the weather, beach and the general area of the northern Sicilian coastline."
