Room was clean and cozy for 2. patio was nice and private. checking in was a little stressful. a rescue dog was let in the back yard and we were alone with him. he parked and we didnt know this dog. My suggestion is let guest meet the dog with home owner present and not on our own with a barking dog.

Why be a host....

We booked a month ago, we've never had a bad experience with vrbo until now. We went ahead and booked and I msg the host we would be bringing a pet, no response but I figured they would answer later. Nope. Then a day before with less than 24 hrs of our trip still nothing. We wondered if we would be given info regarding our stay, code, something but no. Then I msg again on vrbo asking if they would send us the info and address, no respond. 2 hrs later we tried calling the number that was given but did not answer, then the number called back and they said we got the wrong number. Lastly we contacted vrbo agent and told them what was happening, we got refunded because they couldn't get a hold of them either. Then finally we got a msg only 2hrs before our check in. We were so confused. It felt like a scam, not trustworthy, no apology of the whole situation. Didn't want to deal with this host after we got refunded. Worst vrbo host experience ever. Would not recommend.

I had a cozy stay and the place felt warm and comfortable for the night. Protip: contact the owner directly on her phone or text, she’s accommodating and easy to talk to this way. Good to do a personal checkin. It’ll be easier for her to communicate from this point on. Place is fun to stay in for multiple days, and I wish I stayed longer than two. There are a couple amenities (a trampoline!) and happy hour special brochures for anyone looking for a good time on the island. Hope ppl enjoy as much as I did! Dogs should be friendly after they meet you.
