Walk to Beach & Pleasure Pier - Lush Outdoor Entertaining

Ca. 1921 Craftsman Bungalow located 2 blocks from the seawall offers a peaceful setting surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Lovingly restored, amenities include a well equipped gourmet kitchen, updated period style bath, and comfortable furnishings. Enjoy the views overlooking the private gardens.

The bedrooms (upstairs) include an owner suite with queen size bed; 2nd bedroom with queen size bed; and tv room, with full size day bed, tv with Google Chromecast.

The open floorpan downstairs allows for lots of natural light. The large front porch provides a relaxing retreat for enjoying the ocean breezes and sounds of the surf. The full bath upstairs provide a cozy environment. A full size stackable washer/dryer in the bath closet. Cable tv, and wireless internet services are provided for your convenience.

The neighborhood is a quiet collection of bungalows just off the beaten path of the more "touristy" parts of the island but still in the middle of activity. Island favorites Queens Bar-B-Que, the Spot Restaurant and Bar, Gumbo Diner and Brick House Tavern are within a 3 block walk along Seawall Blvd. Island landmark Gaido's Restaurant is 5 blocks down Seawall Blvd.

The Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier is 9 blocks east. The downtown Strand Historic District and Cruise Terminals are a 5 minute drive, while Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn water park are approx. 15 minutes drive west.

One of the best features of this house is the calming effect it has on all who visit. Whether for a quiet get-away for a small group or a family vacation, the Beach Bungalow provides a perfect setting.
Galveston has an impressive 4th of July celebration (fireworks display at the 37 Street Jetty 3 blocks away). Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to be on the island as well as Mardi Gras, Spring Break, Memorial Day, Lone Star Rally, surfing, bird watching, fishing and art walks are just a few of the many activities the island provides.

Galveston charm + cozy cottage = a great getaway!

This is such a cute cottage house in a great location!! Had everything we needed and the kids loved the fun little “secret stairs” that led to the kitchen. We loved the landscape that surrounded the property (lime & pomegranate trees were a bonus). All the different lamps and lights made for a super cozy feel and added to the charm. There is also a super fun community pool just a couple minutes away with a splash pad and it was so perfect for our kiddos (ages 4 & 5). Definitely enjoyed our stay and felt very welcomed by the property owners. Would highly recommend this place and come back if we visit again!

Outstanding beach home walk to the ocean!

Rented for 4th of July and didnt regret one bit. Kitchen well stocked. Charcoal grill in backyard under lazy tree canopy. Can see the ocean from the porch. Teenagers could just come and go as they pleased. Best of all was the night of fireworks -- prime location and could soak in the excitement from all around.
