Perfect place for group of friends!

Wonderful beach home, super comfy, extremely clean, with a very easy/quick walk to the beach. It was the perfect place for our group of family/friends. Yolanda is an excellent host and goes above and beyond in terms of communication and support. We don't go to Galveston often, but this place will stay at the top of my list for all future visits.

Wonderful Stay

The house and location were just perfect! A nice quiet neighborhood with easy access to the beach. It was close enough to Galveston to do everything we wanted and yet nice and quiet to return to at the end of a busy day. We definitely recommend!

Weekend vibes

Cute, cozy, and clean perfect for enjoying a relaxing weekend. Loved the balcony enjoyed my coffee listening to the waves and watching the birds. The beach is a short walk away and not crowded at all perfect for relaxing. The host provided important information and answered promptly. I would use this property again.Property again.

Galveston relaxation Aug 2024

Enjoyed my stay to relax and recharge. Plenty of choices to pick from downtown Galveston to the west end. I stayed at the West End, which is a lot more quieter end of the island.

Great Place

We loved staying here. The house had everything we needed and it was very comfortable. Communication with Yolanda was very good and she was quick to respond. She had a beach wagon which was great to use to haul things with us to the beach. She also had 2 beach chairs, beach toys and other things for the kids to use. We definitely recommend staying here.

Great family getaway!

Beautiful house! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Perfect for our 5 day stay. It had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed for cooking. The beach was very private and only a short walk. We enjoyed every day of being there and wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this home for a short or long trip!

Great location

A cozy, “vertical” in its design (3 stories tall) townhouse in a quiet complex. It TRULY stands a walking distance from the beach (3-5min?). Two balconies catch the ocean breeze and are a nice addition to the living space, especially when the weather cools off. Lower balcony is fully shaded in the afternoon.

Wonderful experience

We enjoyed our stay. The condo is nice, clean, and in a well appointed area. 3 bathrooms made getting ready so much easier. The balcony view from both upstairs and downstairs is the highlight for me. I loved relaxing outside watching the birds and ocean. Definitely worth renting if you’re in the area. FYI: about 25 minutes for Galveston and main activities.

End of summer vacation.

Home and views are amazing. Was worried about a/c with as many times it was mentioned in check in info. No worries we froze the 1st night. The beach was cleaner than others we stoped at. And for the most part in a really quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay there again. Owner was quick to respond. Thank you Yolanda.

Relaxing Getaway

We had a perfectly relaxing beach getaway at this property! Great location! Beach is perfect for what we were looking for. Our 2 year old had a blast and my husband enjoyed fishing while I relaxed on the patios. House is kept clean and stocked with everything you need except the groceries! We loved how close the Seven Seas grocery store was when we needed just a few things at the end of our stay. It is a lot of stairs which I prepared myself for since I’m 8 months pregnant, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. Thanks for housing us for a memorable family trip before we become a family of 4!

Doc's Delight!

This is my second time to stay at Doc's Cabin. The location is perfect, within sight of the Gulf, and easy access to the very peaceful stretch of Jamaica Beach where cars are not allowed. The condo is perfect with two bedrooms and three full baths. I love that there are two porches with views of the Gulf. Additionally the outdoor shower ensures you can rinse the sand off before going inside. Yolanda is a very thorough, responsive, and considerate communicator. Her emails give you everything you need to know to ensure your visit is enjoyable. The home is clean and well kept. We love having our annual friend reunion at Doc's Cabin, and hope to be back!

Great vacation

The property was very clean and welcoming. The instructions were thorough and the host was great with communication. The walk to the beach was short-through some grass and then down a sand path. My mom was worried because of the signs that said 'warning-rattlesnakes in dunes'-but we never saw any, just were extra careful. It's Texas anyway, snakes are everywhere. It was really great being able to go back and forth to the bathroom, or to get drinks, etc. with such a short walk back to the house. The outdoor shower was great to help keep the house clean during our stay. The grocery store next door had a huge selection and pretty decent prices on most things. We drove to the seawall area a few times, just because, and the drive wasn't bad at all-you'd get there before you know it-and it was nice being able to leave all that hustle and bustle to come back to the peace where we were.

Galveston condo review

Overall a very comfortable property. Completely equipped kitchen with good new appliances. If you like to cook, you will be pleased with this kitchen. Nice partial beach view and easy access. Owner very accessible and helpful. Only a couple of concerns. Technology hard to use. (Each TV had 3 remotes and confusing directions all referred to the "Comcast remote". None of the remotes labeled "Comcast." No Fox sports so no Astros-Rangers playoff games. Never really got the tech figured out (And I am tech experienced) but you don't come to the beach to watch TV that much. For older guests, be aware no handholds in showers and high floor strips in doorways can be tripping issue. Also if stairs are a problem, this is not the spot for you. (3 floors of stair access) Apart from these issues, we had a nice stay and a comfortable place.
