Location, location, location! This is a historic loft in a historic area on 'The Strand'. High ceilings, brick walls and the most beautiful, modern bathrooms we've seen. Walked everywhere...loved it!
We had a fantastic time staying at the jellyfish on the strand! The property manager was kind and responsive. The location is fantastic if you’re looking for a place that is in the heart of shopping, dining, etc.. The condo itself is an amazingly restored historic building. Simply gorgeous. I also appreciated that the owners had very thoughtful touches, such as pancake mix, pouches scissors in the kitchen and sharp knives placed in a holder in an upper cabinet as a safety measure for people with young children. We really enjoyed our stay and we’ll hopefully be staying here on our next trip to Galveston!
I recently stayed at the jellyfish look out on the Strand and had an exceptional experience. The location is perfect, right in the heart of everything. It was spotless and incredibly well-equipped, with every amenity thoughtfully provided, even down to ear plugs for a quiet night's sleep. The host was attentive and ensured the place felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended!
We stayed here for a Mother’s Day celebration. We love to people watch, and this is the spot to do it. The four big windows allow views of the entire street. We kept track of the people who waived at us (31).The property is incredibly clean! The showers/bathrooms are amazing. It is equipped with anything you will need to cook. The TV was easy to use. And the information book provided gives lots of good information. The check out process was simple and easy to understand. Nothing crazy, just take out the trash, start the dishwasher and close the windows/set the ac. The book also contains the history of the building; they received an award for historic preservation (the floors are beautiful). Things you need to know. There are no curtains! Dress accordingly. Additionally, the bedroom walls do not go all the way to the ceiling and there are large transoms in the second bedroom. This means the entire property starts to get light at sunrise. This didn’t bother us a bit, but if you can only sleep in a cave, bring an eye mask. It is a noisy property, and they provide earplugs. Again, this didn’t bother us as we were there for the action.
Summer birthday quick trip! We had a blast on this trip. Perfect rental, perfect beds, perfect location! Excellent communication with the owner throughout the stay, couldn't have asked for a better experience.
The jellyfish is absolutely stunning with all bells and whistles. It looks like a newly renovated loft and feels so airy and spacious. I especially loved the showers and king bunk beds. The hostess was most gracious.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Great location!! Noise was not bad since we were there during the week! Great place to get out of the heat and people watch! We live in Houston but wanted to go some where close! Great museums, restaurants and shopping! Jellyfish Inn has all the amenities that you need and a very comfortable place to stay!
This is a great property and great communication with the host. You pay for parking and you have plenty of options so don’t let that keep you away from this great place
Our entire experience was wonderful. Taryn and Pete are both exceptional hosts!! The Jellyfish Lounge is beautiful and bright. Our needs were more than met. The parking is free on the Strand between the hours of 6pm and 9am and this worked out for us as we were gone most of the day. Thank you Taryn and Pete for this lovely oasis.
