Love the property, location was great, easy to navigate to all state parks in the area. Kitchen had just about everything you need. Tea pot would have been nice, and the knives need to be sharpened.
Also the a little more information before arrival the garage Loft is an additional rental. Not a problem but knowing before one arrives would be nice.
Do not mind doing some housekeeping before you leave, however asking to do a load of laundry before you leave I think should not be necessary when charging a housekeeping fee.
Host very pleasant and easy to contact. The property is very clean, beds are very comfortable, bed linens, blankets and pillows were great. We all had great night sleeps. Pricing is perfect.
Would definitely recommend and return.
I rented this location for our summer vacation as part of a Christmas present for my astronomy-loving son. It was only about 20 minutes from Cherry Springs State Park, but on a clear night, you also had a beautiful view of the night sky from the property.
The house itself was lovely and clean, and it had almost everything we needed for our stay (we second the suggestion for adding a tea kettle). The only negative, which wasn't a true negative for most of our party, was that it really wan't clear that the property was right next to another VRBO rental (on the same property). That information is explained when you arrive, but I don't see that information anywhere on the description of the property. So if you are expecting complete privacy/seclusion/quiet, you are not guaranteed that. Again, the location and property managers are 10 stars, in my opinion, and the house/location worked well for my party's needs, but I do think this information should be disclosed to potential renters.
The property is secluded and very practical. Check in/check out was very easy and the house has everything you would ever need to accommodate your stay.
This is a very uniquely designed home that we really enjoyed. Owner was very accommodating and we had everything we needed to be able to make the most of our time taking in the scenery of the area.
A lovely home and property in rural Potter County -- ideal location between Cherry Springs and the PA Grand Canyon. Best to plan your arrival before dark to navigate to property. Two bedrooms are private areas (with door) while one is in the open area upstairs. Was not an issue for our stay, but if you have any light sleepers in your party, bring earplugs. Would recommend mentioning or posting link to second rental on property -- for awareness or renting both places together, which would be ideal for a larger family or group stay. Our family had a wonderful stay -- thank you!
Booked this beautiful home for the holiday weekend. We brought our ATVs and had easy parking and easy access to the ATV trails. House is super cool and an open floor plan. You are back a nice long lane but still close to the village of Germania. House is equipped with anything you may need. We will be back!
Unique and beautiful home located in the Pennsylvania mountains. Surrounded by numerous state parks and Pine Creek Gorge/PA Grand Canyon . Great area for biking, hiking, etc. The home is exactly as advertised and has everything you need. The host was helpful and assessable. If you ride ATVs, that is permitted just about everywhere. The area is beautiful and wildlife abounds. Very relaxing environment.
This place is just what it looks like in the listing: a clean, comfortable, hideaway in the woods with eclectic, contemporary style! It has lots of places to be together or alone with a book, inside or out. The kitchen has everything--definitely not just a mac and cheese kitchen. The host was easily accessible, helpful, and accommodating. If this sounds like what you're looking for, just add it to your favorites now.
The property is "open concept. " There is no soundproofing between the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms, just exposed floorboards. The house is older and very squeaky during nighttime visits to the bathroom. Gravel road up to property is a little rutted. I thought I booked through Expedia, but it actually channelled me through VRBO?
The house is clean, comfortable, and fun. The owner is lovely and very easy to communicate with both before and during the visit. I especially appreciated a photobook they created with check-in, info, and check-out instructions. The grounds are beautiful and are close to the "Grand Canyon" of PA. The house has all you need for a restful getaway. Note: Because it is pretty far out, the internet service is a little spotty, so if you are planning on any remote work, you may need to use a hotspot. I hope to return in clear weather to visit the Cherry Springs Dark Park.
