"The view from the balcony is the best, whether at night or the day time. The outside bar everyone is so friendly. I have stayed here a few times and every time I come to the area, I will only stay here. I highly recommend it !"

"Nice property in quiet peaceful location, excellent views of the bay from backyard. Home was clean and ready on arrival. Backyard area could use outdoor seating to enjoy views of bay. It is 36-40 min drive to Annapolis. Not many eating options in Shadyside area, that wasn’t an issue for us as we cooked/grilled during our stay. Overall pleased with our stay."
"My Husband and I stayed here between 7/27 to 7/30/2025 on our trip through Delaware, New Jersey, and Maryland. The camper was lovely and, honestly, it was more modern than some of the house in our home town. It was beautiful and was a wonderful stay! We were really shocked at how it felt more like we were staying in a house than a trailer! The hosts provided a clean, comfortable, and unique stay for us, information about launching necessities in the area, and were professional and kind. We really loved our stay here and appreciate the hospitality!"
"My family and I stayed at South County Poolside Hangout for our son's graduation from the Naval Academy. The home is very clean, in a nice location, the beds are comfortable, the appliances all worked well, and the home had lots of extra items that we could use that we didn't know we would need like a steaming iron, and a flower vase. The only thing I think we couldn't find that we needed were scissors. I agree with the other reviewer that the pictures do not do this house justice. It is very pretty. The weather was not suitable for swimming during our stay, but the pool was cleaned for us and ready to go if we had wanted to use it. I recommend this home for families."
"Very clean and comfortable upstairs unit with private entrance, fine for one or 2. Comfy bed, weak wifi, and the very Basic Roku tv offerings seemed lacking for normal streaming options of basic pro sports and traditional news outlets.
While the interior was very neat and clean and quite adequate, the overall curb appeal of the attached house and yard didn’t compare favorably or match the pictures and show neglect; a dangerous broken/missing stair step, weathered, deck, worn out storm door, and faded paint are indicative of needed TLC, and were disappointing for the price. Once inside, it was a much better impression.
The shower water had a strong sulfuric odor, but seems likely it was well water or at least a common phenomenon for the area, but unappealing nonetheless.
In spite of these issues, the unit itself served its purpose well, was neat and clean, comfortable, and convenient to the area - where other options are very limited and significantly more expensive. Overall grade of C, but no problems with check in and communications which was appreciated.
