"The lobby was eye appealing and smelled very good. We were assigned to a room on the first floor that was not very clean and the bathroom floor was wet. We soon realized that it was due to a leaky shower. I reported this to the clerk at the front desk and her response was "oh they did tell me that room had that problem." She apologized and moved us to another room that was better and not set up for handicap. The television hardly had any channels so we had to watch Netflix on our tablet."

"Hotel ZaZa Houston was a great stay with a true luxury feel. The staff were amazing and made the experience feel very personalized from the moment I arrived, including a lovely glass of bubbly rosé at check-in. The hotel itself has a beautiful old Hollywood vibe, with stylish decor and a signature scent throughout that makes the whole place feel elegant and memorable. I really appreciated the thoughtful amenities like the morning coffee station on each floor and the afternoon cookies in the lobby. The complimentary car service within a 3-mile radius was incredibly convenient and made getting around feel easy and safe, especially as a solo female traveller. My only small drawback was that the air conditioning unit was quite loud when running. Overall, a wonderful stay and I would definitely return."

"This review is specifically about the staff working valet parking morning of Sunday 5/17/2026. He had a very bad attitude and I seriously recommend some customer service training for him. I misplaced the valet ticket given to me the night before, in spite of the fact that my jeep was parked right in front of the hotel he refused to give me my keys. My last name and my room number was written on the tag on the keys but he just refused to open the key cabinet to look for my keys. He kept asking me over and over what my tag number was and I kept telling him that I did not know what it was so he simply said he couldn't help me. What was I supposed to do? Leave my car there and walk home? Very poor management. Will never stay there again."

"We got to the property and their system was down. We were escorted to our room by a hostess to unlock the door. They couldn't give us room keys but said they would bring them when they were ready. Two hours later we had to call for the keys. They asked us to come get them. I told them no, someone needs to bring them like we were told they'd do. There were pubic hairs in the tub. We had two queen beds and they were extremely uncomfortable. They were very lumpy and hard. The floor would have been more comfortable. Out patio was very dirty. It needed a good pressure washing. The concrete was black. The pool was worse, the entire pool area was filthy. It made the bottom of my feet black. That definitely needs a good pressure washing. We go there every year and have never had any issues at all. It's very unfortunate that we had all these issues. Mostly we got zero sleep because of the uncomfortable beds. We will probably not be going back."
