Welcome to The Nest, a dog-friendly vacation home in Galena! 🐾🏡

This beautiful home features a spacious kitchen, 3 bedrooms & 3 full bathrooms, a screened porch for outdoor dining and a deck to enjoy cocktails after exploring Galena. Enjoy the cozy living rooms with wood-burning fireplaces and a whole-home sound system for your entertainment. The lower level offers a shuffleboard, a foosball table (primarily for kids), and a seating area to enjoy movies or your favorite TV shows. Step outside and take a dip in the NEW hot tub; the hot tub is available year-round and treated before each guest. The Nest comfortably sleeps 6-8 guests.

Located in The Galena Territory, The Nest is surrounded by nature's beauty. Golf, horseback riding, hiking, and water activities at Lake Galena are just a few of the many options available. As a guest at The Nest, you'll be provided 6 access cards to the Owner's Club amenities, including swimming pools, basketball and tennis courts, and more. Please note, that some amenities do require reservations.

Your furry friends are welcome too, as The Nest is a dog-friendly home (no other pets allowed); $150 dog fee applies.

We had a great family getaway! The Nest had enough space that we could all be together or have a queit space to ourselves! The hot tub was perfect for relaxing and really taking a moment to step away from work and the daily grind!

Nice quiet weekend away

This property was the perfect little retreat we needed for our extended weekend away. Nice and quiet neighborhood with indoor amenities for colder weather. Great location with a short drive to all of the local attractions.

There was 8 of us from age 5 to 77 for Thanksgiving weekend. The property was clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely stay again!

Great Getaway

We had a wonderful stay. The property manager was very hospitable and accommodating. The location and seclusion of the property is exactly what we were looking for. Would recommend staying here.

Perfect ski weekend

This property was perfect for our 3 day trip to galena. It was located perfectly at 20 minutes from chestnut mountain and 15 minutes from downtown Galena. The space was perfect for 4 younger children to have room to move around and play. We enjoyed being able to make dinner at the house and hang out in the evening. Would definitely come back!

Had a wonderful time at this property. The house is located In a great neighborhood with lots of amenities. House is well equipped for families, dog friendly, cozy, with comfortable beds. We had a wonderful time, and we all enjoyed the great spot to view the stars from the hot tub. Loved all the games the had available too.

The home was very clean, in a quiet area, and very easy to find! There was plenty of room for my friends and family while we hosted my bachelorette here! Having two living rooms was also a plus!

Great House!

We had a wonderful time over Thanksgiving! There were 3 couples and each had their own bathroom.There wa plenty of firewood for relaxing by the fireplace. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice property in a beautiful neighborhood!

We enjoyed our stay! The screened in porch was so nice for bug free dining & visiting! Overall, the house was great for us, as we stayed with 2 toddlers. The 3 Bedrooms are all on different levels, providing privacy/quiet for each family. The owners club is very nice! The pool & splash pad were a hit with the kids!

Great Galena Getaway

Thank you for a hosting a wonderful property. We needed a place for few adults and a couple kids and this location had space to spare! We loved the wooded lot, the soaker whirlpool tub and hot tub. Not to mention the comfy main floor living room with the large TV, great view and super cozy couch!It was our first time to the Galena area and would definitely come back. Access to the Galena Territory amenities was much appreciated and the location was a great home base to explore Galena and the surrounding areas. Thank you so much!

After getting our original plans canceled, we looked into where we could find a place for 6 adults and a dog in a short time. We found The Nest. We had enough room for all. We really enjoyed the screened in deck for morning coffee. They are really to go back again.

Already Planning our Next Trip!

We had never been to Galena and our stay was spontaneous. Brian was EXTREMELY responsive. I booked the house on Sunday and arrived Monday night. The house was very clean and ready for guests. The hot tub was a great amenity. Internet was very fast which was important to me since I work remotely. Location was great. Nice and close to everything Galena had to offer. We can't wait to come back when the weather is nicer and we will definitely book a vacation rental with The Collection Vacation Homes again! Would highly recommend!

The views of this property was absolutely gorgeous. The house was very clean and big family table for games. The property manager was very understanding and answered all my questions. Great stay

We had a wonderful girls weekend at The Nest. The house is very well appointed and welcoming. It was stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept great. The large dining table was a perfect place for games and the sofa provided a comfy place to enjoy television at night. We loved the hot tub! What a wonderful way to relax! We also had a nice fire in the fire pit. It was a great spot to roast marshmallows. Brian and Johnny were perfect hosts and gave us great instructions that made the whole weekend hassle free.

Look No Further!

This was a great stay for us. We were celebrating our anniversary. Prior to the stay Brian was wonderful and answered all questions we had. We walked in and the place was exactly what it looked in the pictures. We really enjoyed that we all could spread out and have our own bedrooms throughout all three floors. The only issue is the shower heads. It was leaky and we tried to reach out with no response. Other than that, we really enjoyed the whole place. The hot tub was amazing. The screened in porch was our favorite part. My family is huge on family time so we spent a lot of time at the cabin. It was only a 15 min drive into town and well worth every penny. If you’re looking for a great spot to celebrate with your family, look no further. This is a huge recommendation from us!!

Overall really perfect space. Clean well appointed kitchen. Good amount of towels. Good water pressure Good location. Beautiful area surrounding. Good hot run w towels Big washer and dryer. Good communication and responsiveness from host. Couple things to watch for. Game tables are not in great shape. No ping pong table shuffle board but needs sand. Football table is for small kids not adults. Curtains in both bedrooms do not close easily and are tattered and torn at the top. 1 panel missing completely from 1 st floor bedroom Small details. Overall great experience and I would rent again. Thank you Brian for being so responsive during our stay.

Very relaxing and comfortable stay

We had a great stay. Our contact, Brian was in touch to make sure everything was going well, but didn't overdue it. It is a well-maintained, dog-friendly house. As others noted, the drapes and shades need a little updating but that is minor. The kitchen has everything you could need. We appreciated the different living spaces. The basement has a bedroom, bathroom and living area that leads out to the fire pit and hot tub. The main floor has another bedroom, bathroom, large dinning table and access to the deck. There is also a screenend in portch that was greatly appreciated. The upstairs has another bedroom and full bathroom with a jet tub. All the beds were very comfortable. The house sits back off the road a bit so you feel you are secluded in the woods, which is nice. It's a great location as there is a store and restaurant just minutes away or Galena just 15-20 minutes away, depending on traffic. It really is a great house for a family getaway or a Girl's Weekend. I will definitely book again.

Wonderful hot tub in nice wooded area. Close to golf and restaurant. Not too far from town. Lots of open group space for togetherness as well as separate areas so people can be separated when they want to. A lovely property.
