The 3,700 square ft. Galena RowHouse is a beautiful vacation rental home that sleeps 10, complete with a full kitchen. It's ONE BLOCK from Galena's Main Street and shopping district. With private off street parking; experience town at a casual pace. Walk anywhere in Galena... any day of the week... any time of the year. The home is near Galena's many walking paths leading out of town as well.
Our vacation home has 3 floors and is one of the most authentic places to stay in Galena. It was built in1846 of locally made Galena brick and limestone and will complete your historical Galena experience. All of the bedrooms are located on the second and third floors, with the third floor showcasing a private retreat with attached full bath.
In the early 1900s, the house was redecorated in mission style, and has been recently restored to include a modern kitchen and bathrooms. The house overlooks the Fever River and has a charming side porch to seat guests.

Friends in town for a wedding

We stayed here when we were in town for a wedding. We loved the location. It’s right at the beginning of Main Street and close proximity to stairs to walk down to the Main Street. All the guests were raving about the place. It was perfect for a group. We would stay here again!!

Second time our family has stayed there. Great location can walk to everything. Mary is a great host. If you have a question or need help she gets back to you right away. Would definitely stay there again.

The best!

This is our favorite place to stay. It is spacious and lovely and in a perfect location to walk to downtown. We love to sit on the porch, drink coffee, and enjoy spending time together.

We really enjoyed staying here with our whole family for our daughter’s wedding in Galena. Great historic home, well appointed, great owners wonderful location easy access to everything. We had to manage a shower schedule but that was our only concern. Thanks for a great stay Mary and Merle!

Beautiful home in perfect location

Our group had the best time in Galena! This home was perfect for us! If you appreciate beautiful old homes and are able to walk up and down stairs, this place is perfect. It has big bedrooms and very comfortable furniture. It’s an easy walk to shopping and has private as well as street parking. We loved it and would definitely come back.

Mini family reunion

We had a mini family reunion with 6 adults and 2 kids, and this beautiful house worked really well for us. It’s convenient to everything and made for a very fun Halloween night stay. We felt like we were in the Sirius Black’s hideout. Fun place for sure!

We have the most amazing time as a great away with my mom, sister, and son. It was our first time in Galena and it was absolutely the perfect spot! A great family reunion

Three of my brothers and I (with spouses) stayed at the delightful Bench Street rowhouse in Galena from three Wonder nights. We have a great reunion, with time spent walking the streets and heights of Galena as well as enjoying our 1845 Galena home. Well appointed and equipped, the rowhouse provided every comfort. We will be back.

December Getaway

We have been coming to Galena each December for nearly 30 years. This year we found the Row House and it is our new favorite place to stay. The house is spacious enough for a large group of people to stay comfortably. The furniture and décor are cozy and lovely. The beds were comfy and warm. Everything you could ever need for your stay has been thought of: Lots of towels, dishes, utensils, coffee makers and pods, and even umbrellas are available and handy. We could not have dreamed of a better place to spend our December weekend getaway! We will definitely be back!

A House with History

The house was very charmingly decorated with beautiful high quality antique furniture, rugs, and paintings. It was probably the most beautifully decorated vacation rental that I've rented so far. We had a wonderful time in Galena shopping, eating, and listening to live music. I like that you can walk everywhere you need to go and the house has private parking! We would certainly stay in this house again!

Great location!!

The location of this property is perfect! Close walking distance to Main Street. Property was a well maintained beautiful historic home on a quiet street. You had a little “old world charm” from the church bells next door— but still provided a quiet nights sleep. Patio and outdoor spaces made this the perfect getaway place for my girlfriend’s group! Five Friends took a shopping trip to Galena and loved our stay. The home has everything you could want! The two with the best knees stayed in the two bedrooms on top floor. The other three stayed in three bedrooms on second floor. Beds, pillows, and bedding were wonderful! We would definitely book again.

Eight women stayed for the weekend for our second time and we had a fabulous time at the house and in town! This house has a lot of history and the owners have done a great job keeping it beautiful! Fun end of summer trip

It was wonderful we all had a good time, lots of stair therapy. it did us all good. Need to have at least 1 more day to see everything and do things. The house was gorgeous. Only thing, us old farts got our exercise with the stairs to the bedrooms. It did us good though! would definetley come back. Beautiful sitting on the patio at night. Even had two visistors a deer a kitty. Wonderful weekend.

Girls trip to Galena

Beautiful historic home very close to shopping. Accommodations were lovely and comfortable seating for our group when dining and visiting. Only wish was that there was another shower. With eight people staying and only one shower we really had to coordinate. Bath tub on the 3rd floor was beautiful but not really convenient. Even with that said, we would all highly recommend your row house to anyone visiting Galena.

Historic & lovely

Just steps away from downtown Galena for wonderful shopping and dining. There are a lot of stairs in the house so keep that in mind, and stairs walking to and from downtown as Church street sit above the downtown. Private parking a plus, but street parking didn't seem to be a problem. To our surprise bedrooms were all spacious and decorated so lovey. Wonderful character in the house from woodwork to beautiful light fixtures, Met the neighbor next door, lovely person. She even took a few pictures of our group before we checked out. Our stay here for girls weekend created great memories for us, Thank you!
