We loved how large the spaces were for our family to gather - a large table in the kitchen for games, large couches so we could all watch TV together, a large sunroom to enjoy coffee and reading in the morning. We also loved the hot tub and pool table at the end of the day - just another set of things we could do to relax and be together. This is our third time in Galena and my kids said it was the best space we’ve had.

We had a great stay at this property! The house was very clean and there was lots of room for all of us. The stairs from the driveway down to the house were a bit tricky because of snow and ice. The beds were really comfortable, and the hot tub was amazing. Would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed a great long weekend. The house was perfect for 8 of us. Having a bathroom for each bedroom was ideal. The kitchen was spacious and we really enjoyed the pool table downstairs. The house was close to golf at Eagle Ridge and we really enjoyed the use of the Galena Owners Club.

Cozy and spacious

We love this place. Our goal is to return every year it’s spacious and has a hot tub and fireplace. Beautiful decks to enjoy family time and never leave or a short drive to visit historic Galena.

Summer Stay

Perfect getaway for our family which include both our goldendoodles. Enjoyed several of the amenities of the property, including the marina, pool and golfing. Plenty of space for our family of five to relax and communication was great.

Excellent Place to stay and relax!

The house itself offers privacy and amenities! It was a great place to relax and get away from the city. We loved going into town and enjoying the local shops and restaurants. The historic atmosphere brought back memories of my childhood and how simple life used to be! We will be staying again!

The perfect base for a long weekend seeing the sights in Galena and Dubuque. The house was clean and as described in the listing. The host was responsive to questions and the check out requirements were very reasonable. Would visit again!

Birthday in Galena

We spent the weekend in Galena celebrating our son and daughter’s birthdays. We had a fantastic time playing games, shopping, hiking with goats (so fun!) and eating way too much delicious food. The house was cozy with a great fireplace and hot tub. Our dogs also enjoyed their weekend away from home. We hope to visit again soon!

Home is well appointed with many extras. Everyone enjoyed the amenities including the owners retreat. Location is quiet but yet conveniently located to activities. Brian was very responsive and flexible with our late check out request.

Great girls weekend getaway!

The home was lovely, spacious and a quick drive to the downtown attractions! The passes to the pool were great for a mid-July swim. The home was clean, stocked with the kitchen basics and very welcoming. It was great for a girls weekend because each room had a bathroom en suite! Multiple bathrooms is a plus for 7 girls!

Labor Day weekend

We had a wonderful stay with our large family. Big enough for everyone to have their own bedroom and space. Kitchen was great for preparing big meals. Space was clean and well cared for. Definitely recommend this place!

Great place!

My siblings (6 total) and I stayed here for 3 nights. It was perfect for us all. Everyone had a nice time with enough space to hang out. It's in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. We had no issues. I would highly recommend. Great for bigger groups.

Communication with property manager was terrific. The house was large very clean. Future guests should be aware there are many steps from the driveway to the front door so it’s not the best for elderly individuals with walkers. When we booked, we didn’t realize this.
