Cabin on the river

My partner, and and our 17 yo daughter enjoyed a week at this cabin. The kitchen was well-appointed, the living room and front porch was very comfortable. The view and access to the New River was fabulous. Even two neighborhood dogs came by for multiple visits.

We came up for the Christmas Festival in Galax. This was the perfect location and the perfect lil house for our stay. It had everything we needed for cooking and was so cozy and warm. We hope to come back in the Spring and do some kayaking down the New River.

Great River View Stay

Perfect sized house for a couple or small family. Well appointed, loved the porch and river view. Convenient to town. Quiet neighbors and little traffic on road between house and river made for a very peaceful stay, but we were there Sun-Wed, so can’t speak for the weekends.

We enjoyed our visit on the New River. We also enjoyed shopping in the quaint little town of Galax. The host was flexible and allowed us to check in early. The house was very clean and accommodating.

Great house and neighborhood

Such a Great place to stay for comfort and view. The house was very clean with everything needed to relax, cook and just rest! View is spectacular and we just sit for hours watching the river flow by. Neighbor's sweet dogs stopped by couple times a day to visit and get belly rubs.Quiet street with very little traffic.Craig was very responsive as aways. This was my second visit and we will be back!

We very much enjoyed our few days here. Nice clean house and it was like home! Enjoyed the fire pit and the outside grill. Host was exceptional with communication! Great location on the river and had excess to river also. Will be back!!

What a wonderful getaway!

My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary with our children at Craig’s place. It was amazing! Our children had never seen snow and the front yard was covered! We had a relaxing weekend where we played games, had a snow ball fight and just reconnected as a family while celebrating our marriage with who mattered most. We have family moving to the area and are looking forward to booking this home during the summer!
