"Accommodation clean and tidy. Keys a little hard to find at the beginning for entry as there are many 'front porches'. In a nice area with mountain views and easy access to Whinlatter and Keswick and surrounding area."

"We had a wonderful stay in this cosy, quiet cottage with plenty of space and everything you needed. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked but, you will need to bring any essentials salt and pepper, oil, etc. very nice pet welcome pack and packs of welcome with tea and cleaning items. There is a village shop nearby and several pub restaurants. There are a number of great walks on your doorstep from easy to more challenging without needing drive.. A beautiful area to explore so...

"Had a lovely week staying at Fell View. The cottage is so lovely really well decorated and very clean and comfy.
An added bonus was the welcome doggie pack - our dog loved it !!!
The pub next door was nice to have, we had a couple of meals there., and it’s only a short walk into Keswick ( about 25mins ).
We would definitely stay here again"

"The Keswick Country Hotel is an old building, with lots of character. The staff were all incredibly helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel in 2024, and were keen to return. This time, we paid for half board. We were so glad we did. The food was superb. The breakfast was amazing - the items on the hot counter were being topped up so regularly that it didn't matter whether we went early or later, there was always plenty of food. The evening meal was also excellent. The menu varied from day to day, with a wide selection of meat, fish and vegetarian options. As a Coeliac, I have to stick to a rigid gluten free diet, and I often dread eating out because of the risk of being 'glutened'. But there was no need to worry at the Keswick Hotel. I've never been so well looked after. The whole team were aware of my gluten free diet, and I never had to explain it to any of them. Before I could ask, they were explaining to me what food I could have, and how the chef could vary almost all the dishes to make them gluten free. The person who showed us to our table each day had a special sheet, edited by the chef, showing everything I needed to know about any dishes that might have gluten. I have never felt so reassured in any restaurant since I was diagnosed in 2007.
Free parking (in Keswick!) was also very useful. We had a lovely room, with a stunning view of Latrigg and Skiddaw(?). When the room needed servicing, it was done very quickly and discretely.
Well done Keswick Country Hotel."
"Staff were great. The valley had no water due to the drought. The staff took it in their stride. They were honest about the situation, provided bottled water and kept guests up to date with the situation which was resolved by the next morning.
The room was clean, however the paintwork could do with being refreshed. Tea / coffee stains on the wall by the kettle. The bathroom taps were loose (we tightened them) and the toilet bowl could've used a good scrub below the waterline. However, the shower was big with room to move and there was plenty of hot water once the water issue had been resolved.
The lunch / evening menu is very limited. Breakfast was included and very good, there were more options on this menu than the other!
We did however, enjoy our stay and will stay here again when we next go to the lakes."
