Strandhotel Vigilante

4.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very good, (476)
"Really liked many aspects of this hotel. I was there in the winter for a visit to one of the many yards that calls Makkum home. Restaurant and service was two highlights and the view from the room was great. Bed and bedding, not so much, the team would need to switch things up for me to sleep well with both feeling dated and bedding not fitting well to the bed. "

Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Heidehof

4.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (236)
"quite well-kept structure even if the rooms have dirty carpeting and the bathrooms are very old with encrusted sanitary ware. The price for a hotel of this type seems a bit high to me. Peaceful and quiet, it is far from shops, bars and restaurants."

Parkhotel Tjaarda

4.5 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (337)
"Bed was top notch. Breakfast sufficient. Pool and whirlpool well maintained. Sometimes i get the feeling that it stays a challenge for hotels to maintain the moisture in the pool areas, in terms of cleanliness and smell (either from chlorine or molds). Definitely not the case for this hotel. "

Hotel2 Heerenveen

3.0 star property
7.2 out of 10, Good, (142)
"The hotel is set between a motorway and a petrol station which did not seem like a great location, however the hotel has its own grounds with a nice pond with some benches and was actually very relaxing outside area. The bar and restaurant also have open frontages with balconies and it was a very nice setting. The hotel is an older build which seemed to be undergoing a refresh when I visited. It was spacious and comfortable and generally everything seemed to work and be in good...
