Your own private entrance leads you to a comfortable, large living area, sunroom, dining area and private screened in porch. Enjoy the serene bedroom and spacious bathroom, with linens & towels provided. Keurig, Convection Toaster Oven, Microwave, Medium size Fridge with Freezer, Basic Kitchen Utensils & Dinnerware, & Small Gas Grill also provided. This delightful home is located in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for walking or jogging and even has private Sound access with a sandy beach - a perfect spot for launching kayaks or just enjoying the peace. 5 minutes from public beach access. Rent a 4x4 vehicle from Fish Tales, located just around the corner from Marsh Mellow. Come for a few days, or a few weeks!

What a hidden little treasure this place was! So cute, immaculate, so many little extras, overlooking the marsh, and even has a swing facing the marsh! Jackie was wonderful to communicate with, and so accommodating! We look forward to being able to come back again, and hopefully for more than one night!

The most beautiful rental and amazing host

This was an absolutely perfect place for a small girls trip to Cape Hatteras! Everything was so neat and beautifully decorated just like the pictures. We appreciated the local dining recommendations and the directions to the sound beach where we watched the sunset. Jackie is a wonderful host. We hope to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marsh Mellow! The location was perfect for our bird watching activities, and the owner was very responsive when I needed to reach her. I would definitely recommend Marsh Mellow and would stay there again when back in the area!

Marsh Mellow relaxing stay

Jackie was an amazing host. She was responsive to questions about the island and things to do. She even had a few snacks waiting for us when we arrived late at night. It was such a comfortable and clean environment to relax and explore the Outer Banks for our first trip there. Would highly recommend staying here. Location was great, views of the marsh and ocean, and very comfortable setting.

Marvelous marsh hideaway

What a cute and immaculately clean little stay. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Our stay was wonderful. The owner was very responsive and even had some nice little surprises waiting for our arrival to enjoy during our stay. The view from the enclosed little sunroom was so nice on the mornings and the evenings. Her recommendations for food were also on point.

Peaceful vacation at this hidden little gem

The perfect 3 day retreat for the two of us

Enjoyed our short stay at the “Marsh Mellow”. Comfortable, clean, well-furnished and nicely decorated. An eclectic selection of books to browse through and choice of rooms to sit back to relax or read. Our host, Jackie, was most gracious and welcoming.

My husband and I decided on a quick one-night trip to the south of the OBX for my birthday. This was our first time here. Not only was the room so welcoming and homie, but we also got some delicious donuts provided by Jackie! (Thank you!) The property was perfect. Nicely decorated and a great location. Very quiet area. Well stocked with some extra goodies. Definitely plan on returning. Marsh mellow is the perfect name for it.
