"We were pleasantly surprised for our one night stay. The pool was warm and nice and hot tub was nice as well. Breakfast was basic, but did the job and the pancakes were a nice option for warm food. Would stay again if in the area. Great value for the price!"

"We loved our stay here! Our room had an extra twin bed in it’s own little space which was perfect for our family with two teenagers who are no longer willing to share a bed! The balcony gave us a great view and the breakfast was great! We would definitely book here again!!"

"It was interesting that there was no permanent staff onsite, but someone was available via video phone in the office. It was a nice room, quiet area, peaceful. Saw a porcupine. Would stay there again."

"Staff are available by phone and always call you back if they are on phone. Room 15 had a great shower. Room 22 has large frig. Beds very comfy. No breakfast but restaurants close by. Pet friendly at 30 dollars per stay."

"We’ve stayed here before and overall it’s a good value, in comparison to other hotels. Room is a bit dated, especially the bathroom, but clean. Bathroom fan only/always turns on with the light and was very loud and annoying. No ‘entryway’ light as you enter into the room. Swimming pool and hot tub has not been in working order our last 2 stays. Breakfast was very sub par, with hot food only consisting of burnt eggs, hard biscuits and nearly empty gravy."

"Very satisfied with our room in the lodge and the owners/staff are friendly and accommodating. The lodge has a very interesting history and I loved the antique decor. We took a peek at the motel rooms they also have and those are decorated in 60s/70s theme, clean and large windows that look out to the lake. We may have to try those next time! We enjoyed our stay very much."
