"I do not understand why this is rated a 4.9* hotel, it is good but definitely not luxury or upscale like I would consider with that rating. We were not wowed with this property as we have been with many other properties we have stayed. Location is good but I read that this is the only hotel "on the beach", I did not feel like it was either on the beach nor the only one in Orient Bay. The room was clean and comfortable, the best part of the room was the hurricane shutters that made the room completely dark. Breakfast was good, drinks were okay, the bartender was not the most friendly but whatever. If we return to St. Martin, we will probably try a stay on the Dutch side for a fair comparison."
