Such a clash of cultures.. the old meets the modern with the motor boats I. The background. These ancient totem poles telling of their family/clan history have been taken down and stored under shelter until they can be restored. I felt so fortunate to be able to see this amazing part of the local culture so up close. Astonishing! #Culture

Heading out of Wrangell Alaska to go up the Stikine River , with Alaska Waters boat tours, to see Shakes Glacier. Stunning views. This was the beginning of August and the mountains still had snow on the tops.
