"Our family and dog had a great time during our stay. The cabin is beautifully updated and had everything we needed. It was close enough to Durham for a few day trips and far enough from everything else to really appreciate the surrounding nature. We spent time on the dock, in the hot tub, and by the fire pit. The pond was great for nature watching and we tried some fishing from the dock and had a few bites. Overall our kids enjoyed the space and we had a great time. "

"This property was full of history and unique features. There is craftsmanship in each piece, from ceilings using wood repurposed from old barns to the bed headboard made from the door of the original house. You get to know all about the history of the place it used to be. The property is beautiful and lovely to walk around. "The Pirates' Den cabin was an affordable and cozy place to stay during our weekend trip to Kerr Lake, which is just a 10-minute drive away. Shirley was a great host and very quick to respond when we had questions.
