"Overall if you need a bed and a place to stay, this was fine. We got a great rate and with needing two rooms for two nights, it made the most sense. They do have a continental breakfast but there was no variety in the two times I stayed (four nights total). Biscuits and gravy, but no bacon or sausage. Eggs were premade circles. Did have coffee, juice, bagels, toast and frosted flakes. Pool was small and the water chilly but typical of hotel pools these days. I enjoyed it on my first stay but our family didn't make use of it on our second stay. I found bed comfortable but others found it hard and stiff. Elevator area was not overly clean. Staff was friendly but not always easy to find."

"Proximity to Bennigan’s restaurant was great so I didn’t have to venture out for dinner after arriving at the hotel. Breakfast was good but staff struggled a little to keep up with the number of guests. My only real complaint is that the bed was not comfortable as it seemed I could feel the springs."

"This is a wonderful place to stay. A small herd of deer comes through almost every evening, and the cabin is right next to the Iowa River. It’s tucked away off the beaten path, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet without listening to traffic all night.The cabin has a very comfortable, homey feel, and you can really appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into building it. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it."

"There were 12 of us for our family weekend and not once did we feel cramped or on top of each other. All the couples had their own rooms and bathrooms as did the single kids. The house and property was beautiful and meticulously maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and there were plenty of towels in all bathrooms along with large bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Donnis was very communicative and would reply quickly. Another perk was that it was dog friendly on the main level of the home and they were accommodating to us bringing three dogs. We look forward to coming back with the family again in the future. It was the perfect place for us to all gather!"
