FORT WORTH STOCKYARDS 1907 REID HOUSE - DFW/TEXAS
Plan a stay at our little cowboy cottage to enjoy the rich history of the Fort Worth Stockyards! Our house was built in the Victorian Cottage style in 1907 - in the same year the historic Cowtown Coliseum was built. This historic neighborhood began development in 1902 with the arrival of the Armour and Swift Meat Packing Plants. The Reid House is located 3 blocks from the front door of Billy's Bobs Texas, and an easy walk to all the shops, restaurants, livestock events and night life along Exchange Avenue. This district is located very conveniently just 2 miles from downtown Fort Worth, Sundance Square and just 3 miles from the world-renowned museum district, Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, Will Rogers Complex, Dickies Arena and Texas Christian University Campus. Business travelers enjoy this convenient getaway location from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Come home to an afternoon on the porch, great private back deck or stroll down to Exchange and Main for a lively place to enjoy dinner or a rodeo or concert. So whether you are here for business or pleasure or both, this location is excellent!

Ideal house in great location for Stockyards. Communication with owners was fantastic. Very satisfied with all the house has to offer and a great place to stay whilst visiting Stockyards.
1907 Reid House was perfect for our stay, walking distance to the Stockyards and close to downtown. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
We had a great time. The place was so cute and clean and great location to the stockyards. It had everything we needed and check in and out was easy. I would stay again when given the chance.
Location to stockyards is perfect. Walk there during the day, easy Uber ride at night. Fun getaway with friends, and our first time in Fort Worth area. Host was responsive and helpful.
The house was as described, we had a great trip with easy access to all the things we had planned to do! The neighborhood wasn't the best but the location was great if you plan on spending your time at the stockyards and you don't want to drive. There was a camera in the kitchen, it was disclosed in the materials in the house and we were able to turn it around but it was a little creepy at first.
The property was in a great location for everything we wanted to do while in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The owner was very easy to work with. Would definitely recommend!
Very clean. Comfortable beds. Space to hang out. Cameras made us feel safe. We walked in a large group to billy bobs. It was perfect for our quick staycation.
We stayed for my daughter’s graduation. For us, the goal was to be close to the Stockyards for celebrating and dining. We were able to walk to and from the house without issue. Communication was easy and quick. Beds were comfortable. Would stay again!
A short 4-day trip for the annual HV FW Stockyards Longhorn sale at River Ranch. This place was just a short walk to Billy Bobs and the Stockyards. Had a great time with our daughter and her boyfriend buying and selling Longhorns and taking in all the Stockyards has to offer.
The home is a simple turn of the century little farmhouse that had comfortable beds and a cool place to escape the 98 degree heat of the weekend!
Would stay here again.
This house was great for our family weekend. We could very easily walk to Billy Bobs and all the great shops in the Stockyards. When we had to reach out to the host about something that was not in the house, she answered immediately and fixed the problem.
The only thing about this house is the neighborhood. We did walk late at night home from the Stockyards but a section of the walk is not lit and a bit sketchy. There were four adults in our party, so all was fine, but I might not have been as comfortable doing that walk with a smaller group and/or with only women.
This is a quaint historic home in an old neighborhood right next to the stockyards. The property provides more space than traditional hotels. The owners are attentive and responsive, provided very helpful recommendations for local dining and entertainment.
The neighborhood Mexican restaurant, Dos Molinas, was tasty and close. The neighborhood was fine but did give us pause, particularly at night. We chose to drive to the stockyards. It's a short drive to TCU. Grateful for the space for extended family rather than traditional hotel rooms.
We enjoyed the walking tour of the Stockyards, Second Chance Rodeo for drinks, toured the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (where currency is printed), Heim BBQ, Wild Salsa (dinner downtown) and of course, a TCU football game.
This little house is cozy, clean, and comfortable. Ashlee the host was on top of communication and was super helpful. Our flight came in early, and she let us check in early, which was amazing. Some of the reviews put the house in a little sketchy area and a far walk from the Stockyards. This was not true at all. The stockyards were only three blocks away and we walked to them in just under 10 minutes. We are a group of 50 -60 year old woman so we were not setting any speed records. lol I also felt completely safe walking home from the Stockyards around 10:30 p.m. I highly recommend a stay at this cute little house with rich Stockyard history.
Girls trip to Fort Worth. Primary reason for us for picking this listing was the location. We wanted to walk and save on Ubers. We felt comfortable walking to the stockyards when it was light out but not on the way home, so that was a cost we were planning on not having.
House was a good size and everything was clean. Two small things - Floors in kitchen were uneven so walking around the kitchen felt weird and there were no dressers in rooms so had to keep things in our luggage if they couldn’t be hung up.
Fire alarm batteries died in the middle of the night, it took a bit to get someone over to change them, but outside of the annoying beep every 20 seconds, it was resolved during the stay.
