  • Now almost 200 years old, Neptunes Staircase is designed to lift or drop boats almost 20 metres in a series of 8 locks taking about 90 mins for the full cycle to take place. It's a small but worthwhile detour whilst travelling through Fort William to see it in operation.

  • Took this trip in late November, when days are rainy, gloomy, and short, but the experience was one of a kind. Strolling through the forest I was amazed at how green everything was, all covered in moss and ferns, almost like a fairy tale. I would definitely visit it again any time of the year.
