"Great place - cabins are nice and clean. Right next to the boat ramp so you can launch easily every day or get a slip in their marina if you want to keep your boat in the water."

"Communication with host was great. We had 6 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. This home is very nicely appointed and the kitchen has EVERYTHING you need and more. Outside areas are great with lights and fans.House is close to all restaurants and bars in the area. Boat ramp is 3-4 minutes away. Neighborhood is nice and communal pool was a nice place to chill after scalloping. Would book again!!!"

"The house was large and fit our family reunion nicely. The large pool and game room were a big hit with everyone. Ample parking for vehicles and the boat was also a plus. A few updates and details would have made the stay even better. The kitchen supplies (pots/pans/can opener/scissors/plates/silverware) were missing or minimal quantities - certainly not adequate for a house that sleeps 13. The double refrigerators were great but my wife had to scrub the handles because they were grimy. The game room ping pong paddles were well worn and the pool cues were all missing tips. The pool had four lounge chairs - 2x nice new ones and 2x torn older, unusable ones. These were not major issues but over looked details that would improve the next persons stay. Thank you for a house that fit our whole clan and allowed us to try scalloping in Steinhatchee."

"Our family has stayed at the River house many times over the past several years. We are never disappointed.The location is perfect. The dock is easily accessible for everyone. The house is always clean and comfortable. Alyssa is a wonderful host. She is easy to get in touch with and prompt at addressing any questions.Highly recommend this property. We just got home after 2 weeks of scalloping and are already looking forward to our next stay."

"Great place for a quick get away or a longer stay. Well equipped for normal living and great location on the water. Floating dock was perfect for our 26’ boat and boat ramp is steps away. Would stay again."

"I love small older family owned hotels and this was the best of the best. Wonderful staff and owner, nice room, great pool and it is on a hill looking down onto the riverfront where they have a bait, tackle and gift store with a restaurant inside for breakfast and lunch. We had breakfast there both days, it was very good with homemade biscuits. You can put your boat in right there, and several other restaurants in walking distance. We had a great stay and they have a full coffee pot in each room, not one cup at a time!"

"This is the perfect getaway for a single person or a couple. The area is so peaceful and the property was well maintained and clean. I loved that I could take my fur babies and they enjoyed their time here as well. We saw all kinds of wildlife; manatees, pelicans, alligators and the fishing was amazing. We were able to sit on the covered porch almost all day and the view for grilling and eating our meals outside could not have been any more perfect. I would give this a 12/10 and cannot wait for our next trip."
