This was a very pretty farmhouse! Great place just to get away. We did not get to use the hot tub but it looked very nice! Would highly recommend this place!
This property was perfect for our mini vacation to the mountains. The house is beautiful! Very cozy. Hot tub was amazing! I highly recommend this house! It was super clean, management team were very responsive to any questions, and was nicely located between Little River Canyon and Desoto State Park. Can’t say enough on how much we enjoyed staying here.
We enjoyed our stay and the cleanliness of the property. What we enjoyed most was the quiet, private location. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the front porch a lot.
This was our 2nd time staying here and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be back. The location is so peaceful and the sunset in the evening is absolutely beautiful.
We loved everything about our stay. This was a quick stay after attending a family member's graduation, and this little farmhouse is everything we expected. The home is comfortable and in a nice private setting. It was an ideal location to visit some of the waterfalls and natural beauty nearby. Very peaceful and quiet! We hope to be back soon.
Kitchen was spacious and clean, however a few more items would be nice in the kitchen. We only stayed 2 nights, so, no cooking. However, we noticed there were no serving dishes so if you cook, you'll eat out of the pots & pans. We took wine with us and had to use iced tea glasses. Again, it was fine for our needs for 2 nights. Location was perfect and easy to get to! Would rent again.
Very nice and quiet place to stay! The location was great being adjacent to Desoto State Park and close to Ft Payne and Mentone. Highly suggest the Tigers Inn restaurant in Valley Head! Food was great!
We enjoyed our stay very much the house was clean and just like the pictures shown on the VRBO site. We enjoyed the peace and quiet but we were close enough to Fort Payne for dinner and shopping. Also drove into Chattanooga a couple of times for Ruby Falls and Rock City.
Unexpected change of plans resulted in stating at the Farmhouse. The accommodations were clean. Pictures are reflective of the property. It was quiet. It was peaceful and relaxing. Close to DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon. Would stay again.
Overall very nice place to stay and very close to Desoto State Park. We loved staying on a farm it was very peaceful and we enjoyed seeing the sheep every day on the other side of the fence. The farmhouse was just as pictured and was so awesome. Just a couple of things need some maintenance all of the exterior doors do not close properly. Also kitchen needs to have more dishes for cooking. Screen porch was not clean. Overall very clean on inside and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely like to stay again.
Overall the farmhouse is absolutely outstanding! Love the layout, interior design and very comfortable and quiet. There a few things that require attention of the property owner such as the storm door off the kitchen needs minor adjustments so it will close, previous tenant did not clean out the grill, need a king size bed in master bedroom and need to put the couch up on blocks or something because can’t get out of it when your older. Absolutely love the farmhouse design.
Good stay place was decorated nicely and check in was easy. The only issues were the fire alarm in the bed room was chirping when we walked in. I couldn’t find batteries so I ended up going to the store and buying some, there was also three light bulbs out in the bathroom. I found some in the house and replaced them

Quiet Secluded Farmhouse Cottage
A classic, quite, farmhouse hideaway! Overall a great stay. Located minutes from local state parks, nature attractions and drivable downtown for all your local needs. TV remote batteries in both bedrooms were dead and didn't work. Towels need to be bleached or replaced, they smell very damp-musty once they're wet and continue to smell once they're dry. The couch has its legs cut off it and sits on the floors which is really uncomfortable if you have bad back/hips and are over 5'8"tall. The kitchen table chairs were the only comfortable adult chairs in the house. Be careful with the rocking recliner, it tips over backwards easily and will dump you out on the floor. Kitchen and fridge was clean, but cookware pans are old and scratched up and not safe to cook on.
I don’t think you could find a more peaceful setting. We enjoyed every amenity! We even got to get up close with the cows. The farm manager, Steven, was exceptionally friendly and very thoughtful. The drive to downtown Fort Payne is scenic and easy. We will be back as soon as possible! A couple of things I’d like to recommend is water filters for the showers and kitchen sink because the water up here is very chemically treated and very harsh on the skin and not drinkable, we brought spring water with to drink. The second recommendation is to not use fragrances in the laundry detergent, the smell of the sheets/bedding was just so strong, and I’m very sensitive to artificial fragrances and perfumes. All in all this place was exactly what we needed to unwind and get away from our businesses. Thank you owners for creating this exceptional environment. BB & Bud
We had the most peaceful weekend here. I have never stayed in a VRBO as clean as this one. It truly looked like we were among the first to ever stay here. We loved the fire pit area, hot tub, and front porch swing. It is so quiet outside, and even a car passing by was a rare occurrence. We talked to one of the farm workers, and we got to see a baby calf just 4 hours old. The worker even gave us some fresh eggs. We did not communicate with the property manager while we were there, but communication during the booking process was speedy. There were a few maintenance items that did not affect the quality of our stay, so we didn’t bother anyone with them while we were there. The couch does not have legs, so it sits low to the ground. Makes getting up or using the coffee table as a foot rest more challenging. One couch pillow torn badly at the seam. No cold water at the kitchen sink. Towel hook outside of shower in master bath was not attached to the wall.
Truly this place is worth the stay, and we will stay here again! If you want to get away from the the craziness of your daily life, this is the place for you.
