About this property

Serenity at Little River Canyon with Private Lake and Dock

  • Enjoy this peaceful little cabin located in scenic Little River Canyon. Just a 6 minute walk to Eberhart Point with hiking and swimming and a convenient drive to downtown Fort Payne, Mentone, Lake Weiss, Desoto State Park and more. At the cabin you can enjoy the private lake with great fishing, and a private dock with dining. The cabin has a large back deck with a gas grill, patio furniture, and dining table with the best views of the lake. On the back deck there is also an outdoor private shower(seasonal). To the side of the cabin is a fire pit with seating to roast some marshmallows or just sit by a cozy fire, along with a swing looking over the lake. Inside the cabin both bedrooms are king size beds with large closet space in both rooms. There is also an extra cot provided should it be needed. A large living room with a smart TV and lots of seating for social time. Kitchen comes complete with a stove and dishwasher, all kitchen dishwater and cookware, all of this just a door away from the back deck. Guest are welcome to explore the property around the lake. This is the perfect getaway!

Peaceful!

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was so tastefully decorated and had everything you could want for supplies. Loved using the fireplace and kayaking on the pond. My husband was pleased to catch a big Bass fish. Lots of places to see but especially recommend the canyon near by. Really awesome views!Plenty of choices of places to eat. The hosts were fantastic! Thank you!

Christmas Getaway

I was a bit concerned with the neighborhood. It was a bit rundown and construction was going on, but the house was great.The construction is a good sign that things are improving in that area. It was very welcoming and everything we needed was available. We especially liked the Christmas tree and decorations. Firewood was provided for the firepit, which we enjoyed. We thoroughly loved our little Christmas getaway.

This cabin was better than expected. The view alone was spectacular. You are surrounded by nature but not cut off from everyone and everything. So peaceful and tranquil. Beds were comfy, laundry smelled so fresh and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here.

The cabin was very clean and cozy. Open front door to friendly and peaceful atmosphere inside. The beds were comfortable. We didn't use the fireplace. The views from cabin were amazing and you could hear the waterfall in distance

We had a wonderful stay at Serenity. The home and property were even more beautiful than we expected. The property was quiet and secluded. We loved sitting on the deck watching the ducks in the lake after a day of hiking. We appreciated the supply of coffee and tea that was provided as well.There was one hiking trail nearby, but we had to drive a bit to get to others.

Excellent stay ! This cabin and property is exactly as described, so peaceful and tranquil. The view of the water and woods is fantastic ! The cabin is clean and cozy but with plenty of room. The outside is just as inviting as the inside with a large deck, a table, and comfortable seating with plenty of room. The gas grill was a plus and convenient to use during our stay and we also used the fire pit. This cabin and property is just an all around great place to get away for a while. The host is top tier ! So kind and quick to respond to any questions you may have. We look forward to staying again soon !

We arrived after dark and were welcomed with well lighted landscape lights around the house. Inside the home was decorated with Christmas decor which just felt special!. Great deck overlooking pond, with several seating areas to hang out. Very clean and well furnished!
